Winter be Damned, got out on the scoot yesterday!
BradT replied to Ozmonster's topic in Watering Hole
Probably the most expensive as well (but I am sure it was worth it) Brad -
It is possible that the IC volume control is set to high. Not sure if this is what you meant. I know when I turn the IC volume up too high it is loud. Brad

I had one similar tonight about 9:45 took about 15 minuted to get on line. A couple weeks back same thing but it was a lot longer. By the way who moved the smiles ? Not on the side no more but I found them Brad

All the boats I drive have the motor in the rear, and you drive from the centre at the back. Just push motor either way. Brad -
The 450 comes with the Handlebar mount but does NOT come with the car mount. BRad

A hair Dryer would work for the size of your driveway. Oops just relized you probably don't own one. :rotf:I may have an extra as I do not need it anymore either. Brad

Very Good advice. Learned the hard way, also know one or two others that should have taken the same advice. Brad

Forever Bleeding (brakes)
BradT replied to a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Just a dumb thought, maybe your not getting it all out. When you pump the brakes you stir up the air. Maybe if you bleed one valve let it sit, then do another and let it sit again. Just another idea. Brad -
Not me, as I have patience, but Swifty on the other hand will be waiting till June before the snow melts enough to get his bike out of the house. BRad

Not Yet anyway. I like the Dark Pink. Maybe paint the whole thing that colour. I was not planning on doing the painting. Heard there was a guy near Detroit with a huge garage that does a great job. Actually Naugh-T would like her bike painted so trying to figure out which way to go. BRad

I hate Painting and paints, as there seems to be so many different types of paints. Curious what should be used on our bikes ? I know about Color Rite, has anyone used this paint to completely repaint their bike, and do you get that high shine to it ? It was suggested a Base/Clear paint but that is seems very expensive. I also heard of Imron as a cheaper alternative, but was recomended to go with the Base/clear for the quality. I was curious about using different types of paints. Any suggestions ? Also is there any tricks to get that high shine or is it just a good clear coat. Brad

Pete I believe you should change that oil as soon as possible. Typically the Auto oil has friction modifiers in it which is not good for the the wet clutch. The oil to use is pretty much any that does not say energy conserving. (this is still a matter of opinion). Look on the back of the oil bottle for thh circle and read the info there. Look at the two pics, the one that say Energy conserving is not good for the clutch. Brad

I bought my Zumo at Buydig. I do not like purchasing right off the net so I called and had a very pleasant expirience. The Zumo was shipped and arrived when they said it would be. Brad

Now why would you have a spare ? In case of what ?? Carl I thought you had a Blonde parts bike in back half of your shop ?? Is that bike missing one too. ? Glad I never mis place anything. Oh wait you have been in my Garage. Brad

ON my 86 I never went past Redline, but many others do (Eh Charlie), without problems. ON the slippage, I agree with the spring getting weaker, but it could have been because of the oil used previously. It may have had friction modifiers in it with has glazzed the plates. So make sure you use the correct oil after you change them. (another question coming ) If your not replacing them I believe you can lightly sand them, but if this is the case personally I would probably change them. PS Welcome to the site and watch out for that Freebird Character, he may start playing his guitar and singing. Brad

Hey I am further North than he is and you got me beat. Must be something about those folks in the middle of the continent. Brad

Beside the additional price this was the reason I did not want the 550. I talk on the phone while driving the car and that is bas enough. When I am on the bike I would prefer to pay more attention. AND when I am on the bike I would rather not talk to anyone (at least on the phone) Best luck on your choice. Brad
