The only differences were some improvements on some of the problems, not all but some. Also I believe they all come with pillow top seats now which is also a nice feature. BRad

You may want to contact the US person again, advise the lack of response and ask for assistance. Occasionaly the Cdns have a boss in the states, who would not be impressed. Or he/she may be advise whom to contact at a factory/head office level. Brad -
I was thinking the Dry Splines in the rear wheel. Were you refering to a person ? Thought your wife was your only passenger I am sure Marion (spelling sorry) knows I would never say anything that was not nice about her. BRad

HAHA you do not like my Colour (CDN version). Our company colour is on headers etc.. Power point does not allow for the standard page to be changed and again our company colours. Not sure how they were able to change the standards and then lock it out, but they did it. Brad

I think I know what this is but I am not saying anything. DO not want to get in trouble So this is a bump only Brad

Agree we switched everyone over as well and what a pain, can't find anything. NOT too mention the company customized the files and locked them so you can not change backgrounds colour etc... in Power point, and word. Brad

Very sorry to say that I did laugh at your post and seriously it was not at you. Very nice story and well written, but you have to admit that anytime you go on a tour there is always something that happens, that will stand out, well I think you got many for your money. AS mentioned that highway is not the best choice and when under construction even worse, add the rain and darkness and that must have been fun. Lucky you did not meet our OPP as you were sitting under the bridge, the time I was looking for a license plate I almost got a ticket for stopping on the highway. Glad you had a good time and I am glad to hear that the Canadians treated you guys great. Anytime you can find the time to get away and want to come back give us a call. PS HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Brad

"Mother" Made up a connector which all you had to do was unplug the Cassette and plug in the adapter, which plugged into the MP3 or GPS. He had a drawing at one time, you may want to PM him. Brad

Tire Recommendation for 86 Venture
BradT replied to Burninator's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
There has been a couple people who had a issue with the Avons and a wobble but on the first gens only. These same people who had the wobble have had a couple different sets with no problems using Avons. Brad I believe the Dunlop and Michelin have a very similar tread design. At least you did not get the Bridgestones, and you will be able to wear these out before changing. Brad -

BradT replied to jrange's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
IN Venture History there is a link to the colours. http://www.venturerider.org/modules/history/index.php#Colors%20by%20Year Not sure of Bronze, but they had two tone Green one and the nice Bordeaux with silver , in 99. Brad -
Bill not too worry we have had people with all kinds of bikes join in and some never bought a venture, we even had people who joined who did not even own a bike, all welcome, not too mention this site is about the venture but as you most likely read there is a lot that has nothing to do with the venture or even riding. Brad

The 450 does this as well, and removing the battery is the only thing that will bring it back to live. Brad

Where is the Engine Temp sensor?
BradT replied to timgray's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
There is a single wire along the frame where rocket mentions it to be. I think is a butt connector, often this needs to be cleaned and squeezed a little. Actually I think it is the ground wire but sure fixed a couple of electrical problems for me. BRad -
Steve send me a copy brad.tuckett@metso.com and I will try to convert it to Street and trip. BRad

Seriously is that a good deal. I may be interested but gonna have to save a couple more piggy bank jars. I thought that would be cheaper based on the year, but it does look in good shape. BRad

Just for the record..............
BradT replied to igya's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I always double check with a volt meter and make sure it is charging slightly over 12v when all accessories are on and at idle. If this is above 1300-1400 rpm I would start cleaning and checking electrical connections. Brad -
Dynodon, good advice. ! Brad
