Thought you had to hit both buttons at the same time. The only way I know of to stop it, is to put gas in the tank. Brad

Posting of new threads in the proper section of the forum
BradT replied to KiteSquid's topic in Watering Hole
I do not believe there is too many rules other than staying away politics, religion, and remembering it is a Family site. I think some will post a technical question in the watering hole just so that it will be seen as this section is the most active. Having said that it is possible that it can get pushed to the next page real quick with all the new posts in that section. Other people just may not know about or realize where they posted it. My opinion, it really does not matter that much but there are sections for specific types of posts. These sections make it easier for others to find a similar issue they may have. But then you can always use the search function to find a post with a similar issue. Brad -
Now that was funny but soooo True. And we were home all day, wish we knew there was a meet happening. Gary now you got yourself in trouble, with Naugh-T. Brad

I agree with all above and downshift in anything with a std tranny, also when needed in automatics. One caution on downshifting, do not try to downshift to far (quickly) or pop the clutch when doing so, as it could cause the back tire to lock up. This is most likely the only reason why anyone would suggest not downshifting. BRad

BradT replied to igya's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I assume if it is worn a bit as 11/16 is equal to 0.6875" and 18mm is actually 0.709" Brad -
Kevin and Eck, thanks. Guess I need to check with them to find out more where they are planning to go. Kevin I will pass your offer onto to them. Thanks again BRad

Not really sure but they orignally thought of Georgia but then decided to drive all the way Florida. They were heading down I75 and wanted to travel through Daytona. They tried a few bike shops but no one gets back to them. Brad

A friend of ours are planning a trip to Florida in February. They are trailering there bikes down and plan on a week long tour. They could use a place to park a truck and trailer, while they enjoy the riding. If anyone has room in there driveway to store a truck and trailer and would be willing to help out let me know. Thanks Brad

Glad for you all, Congrats. Brad -
Bob, you still seem to be able to get a word or two in yourself (2427) There was a spot on here one time that allowed you to get to the "Top" Top Posters, Top threads read, top thread viewed etc..... I kinda liked looking at the stats everyonce in a while. I know it was removed but I think I found buried on one page not too long ago. (Can't seem to find it now) Brad

It is not nice to rub it in about going for a ride in a few days. We are getting another 6-8 inches of snow so it will be a few months before we get out again. Looks like it was off quite a bit, hope this works to make it better for her. Brad

Reiny, Scott (Mother) changed his last year, so you could shoot him a PM. Sure he would talk you through it. Thought he said it was a fun job and thought you needed some tools. Anyway if you want a hand let me know, always like praticing on someone elses bike BRad

It is a fun job, as things will just fit. Suggest using some liquid sealant to stick the gasket to the covers prior to trying to install them. This should hold gasket in place, but double check before tightenign bolts as you want to make sure it stayed put. Watch your fingers they will be in the way HAHA Brad

I have seen many oil spots in your driveway, didn't know you had a Harley, where do you hide when you have visitors ? BRad

I am sure he has seen this, he is just thinking of a reply ! I know the bike is inside but have not even got an invite over yet to see what he is doing. Brad

Agree but also use a cale tie and wrap them all together. Also use another one and attached it to the inner fairing there is a little slot molded into the fairing just for this. They will vibrate and give you problems at a later date Brad

I Have no clue how to do this. I see two pictures. BRad
