My fathers family was/is from the area. Baxter/Buffalo Valley/Silver Point/Carthage etc etc. Some nice roads to ride. Cookeville is large enough to have shopping and dining and small enough to avoid the masses. However a bit further east is nice also around the Crossville area. LOTS of retired folks and the slightly more famous roads (the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway etc) are a bit closer.

"Big Red" is at Ed's Cycles Motorcycle Medical Center (smile) for its annual physical while I'm being sternly warned "No riding for 4-6 weeks". When I'm able to get it back on the road I'll give it a reach around. Thanks for the tip by the way!!

Hmmmm, for the past three weeks or so I've noticed a buzzing sound that I have not been able to locate with my helmet on. It sounds literally like a busy bee. It comes and goes and dies away as the speed drops. Does that sound like a possible reason for my buzz also?. I do know that my chrome strip is fairly loose.

Don't know what Tri Wing offers but Hannigan has an "Easy Steer". However trike steering even with that installed is noticeably "harder" or more hand/arm intensive than normal steering. I also find (at least on my '09 RSV trike) that the tire pressure up front is much more important. I run 42 front (Michelin Commander II), 32 back. I used to run 24 in the rear but I like 32 better.

Some people want to keep using familiar software and keep their old software that runs as they have gotten used to. There is no compelling reason to move from Win 7 to Win 10 if there is nothing new that you want or need. Personally I like to keep up to date with what is available but that's just me. Kinda like there are some 1st gen lovers and there are some 2nd gen lovers and there are even some Harley lovers (smile).....run/ride what ya like.

I would like a pair of those adapters also, but $19 each is a lot! $5-6 sure sounds a lot better if anyone knows where they could be found!

No problems with Windows 10 on any my machines. Actually no problems with any version of windows I have ever had and I go back to Windows 3! I have worked on a lot of computers for family/friends over the years and most every problem I have seen with their machines were, lack of cleaning, clogging up fans and preventing cooling. Installing iffy freebee software, opening files that contained redirects, not updating windows regularly. Vista was supposedly one of the "worst" Windows versions. I ran it for a couple of years and had no problems at all. On a completely separate note...I ran GEOS on my Commodore 128 and that was sort of a Windows type software. I started working with computers back in 1968 and have enjoyed working and playing with them since.

Hey no problem with the hairspray try. Worth a shot! Cycle Gear had grip glue for $2.99 and so far, so good. Incidentally removing the Kuryakyn grips was not a problem at all for me last time. I simply used a box cutter to slice down length wise (took a little more effort than simply a quick swipe of course) then peeled them right off and replaced them. The reason I had to replace them was the left/clutch grip is a couple of inches longer than the bar it slides onto. It eventually broke where the bar ended and the grip continued. On a trike there is more steering pressure (lots more) than on a two wheeler. So forcing the bars around the curves and switchbacks in my riding area probably contributed to the breakage. The Kuryakyn's were basically rubber and plastic.

Squirted Suave hairspray into the grip (lots of it), slid it back on. 12+ hours later it slid off just as easy as before. I guess I'll be looking for grip glue later today. Thanks for the try though.

Thank you, I'll give it a try. I'll have to buy a can, Hannah's hair is short and she doesn't use hairspray.

It's been suggested that hairspray is a good grip glue. Anyone know what kind and how to do it?

Hairspray? pray tell how and which! (smile)

Is there anything I can "Walmart"? It is not real loose, you have to put some effort into moving it, but on a trike you are using some effort!
-
I notice that my left (clutch side) grip (Kuryakan) is loose and can be moved around on the bar. I no longer have any of the grip glue so what might I use to re-secure the grip?

My trike is "Big Red".

A fairing bra would be of interest to cover up a scuff mark!! -

Ahhh yes, this is where I parked my bike during hurricane lockdowns in Exmouth, W. Australian when we were stationed there.

Hannah and I had a number of real sheep skin rugs, seat covers in Australia. We always washed them in the machine on gentle in a mild soap (Woolite for example). They did tend to lose a lot of wool fibers in the wash and we would skim them off and trash them. We used the dryer on low to dry them and again they would tend to lose a lot of fibers. The fiber loss never seemed to be visible when we replaced them on the bike! We bought them in 1985-86, they are still in good condition and quite usable. The sheepskin on the Honda in 1985 is the same sheepskin that I have on the trike in the 2012 photo.

Simply quit. I quit "cold turkey" some 30 plus years ago. I won't make any friends with this comment but, if you want to quit...just do it! Switching to those dorky looking e-cigs only prolongs the process. My feelings are that if you want to quit, you will. If you don't want to quit, then you will not. The day I decided to give them up I bought a carton of Luckies. I opened the first pack, dropped it into my uniform pocket and never took one to light. Over the next week or so I emptied the pack by giving them to friends as they would ask if I had a cigarette. I went through about two packs that way, not smoking just giving to people who wanted to "borrow" a smoke. After about a month, I wadded up the rest of the carton and tossed it in the dumpster at the barracks. Just quit, don't substitute something else for them. Now I'll put my soap box away for a while....smile.

My best videos have been taken when it was mounted on my helmet. HOWEVER, I have to remember not to do a lot of head turning, especially suddenly. I have permanent mounts (Ram Mounts) on my Clutch and Brake reservoirs. Use the shortest arm you can find to minimize vibration.
