my 2005 has 2008 road king mufflers and will pop a little on decel.. but only when the rpms are getting low to the gear ratio if that makes any sense. is this pretty normal??? carbs are synched every 2k miles or sooner if i'm bored.. will plugging the AIS solve this??? it actually sounds tough on long hill decents...

I used the lucas 20w-50 motorcycle oil and let me tell ya it "SUCKED".. shifting was very labored the engine seemed noisier... dumped it after 200 miles and went back to the amsoil, smooth as silk....

PUT DOWN A COUPLE WIDE GLIDES, ULTRAS, VULCAN AND KEPT UP WITH A GSX 750 BUT BRIEFLY... LOL 750 MY ASS... ANYWHO, LOTS OF ??? AFTER THAT AND EVEN WHERE DO I GET ONE.... RIDE ON MY BROS. WHO KNOWS...

THAT SUCKS !!!! IF YOU CAN DO ALL THAT STUFF YOURSELF OR HAVE A FRIEND HELP. MY OLD DRUMMER WAS A BIKE MECH. AT A STEALERSHIP AND HE ADMITTED THEY SHORTCHANGE ALMOST EVERY CHANCE THEY GOT.... "EASY MONEY" HE SAID....

which one ?? 7000 rpm or 63-6500 rpm ???

anyone know the exact rpm at redline and exact rpm for the rev limiter?? been getting a little hotroddy lately and just don't want to over doi it.. havent hit the rev limiter yet but need to know what its set at. thanx

i know more oil controversy. here it goes, i normally use amsoil 20-50 having trouble getting it locally. i did find amsoil diesel syn 15-40 , i was ready to use rotella syn 15-40 but can't find that either... "small town"... has anyone used amsoil diesel??? in a pinch i just put in lucas 20-50 and i think it sucks, poor shifting and a little noisy.. also i do have cat pipes off a 2009 roadking any problems with the diesel oil there. any input would be appreciated. 2005 rsv baby

has anybody used amsoil syn. diesel oil?? 15-40 , i found some at local farm store for $28.00 a gal. i normally use amsoil cycle 20-50 but had to use lucas 20-50 and do not like it, rough shift ect.... ant thoughts on the amsoil diesel????

its the doohickey that holds up trunk lid, when its down it vibrates back there cause there is no tension on it. only took me 2 months to find that one... lol -

i have owned many mazdas the 3-5door hatch included, i now have a 2009 mazda 6 and let me tell ya, they are the best bang for the buck cars on the road. i can't believe they don't sell more. you will not be disapointed. this coming from and rsv owner who knows quality...

were heading down to kent. , tenn., and west virg. this week. "finally". where are the good hotels around cookeville,tn or dale hollow. eddyville,ky and somewhere around huntington,w.v ??? were on a budget but do like clean hotels.. your input would be appr.

a good thing to do if you have the $$$$$$ is to buy the morgan carbtune. i had the same symptoms, bought my own so now i always know what the carbs are doing..

glad to hear what ya all think. i'm trying to become the rider who"doesn't" worry about all the nuances of bikes, they all make some noise. ride and enjoy peace... p.s the c50 was a maint. nightmare and it got me nowhere.

I was just browsing some posts and threads and it got me thinking,"CAN'T WE JUST RIDE".. I get bummed about all the maint and troubles with bikes, valves, rearends,coils,carbs,tires,oil and such. I have a 2006 c50t in my garage i can't giveaway cuz the lifters are to noisy or it makes a clunk noise now and then, at only 14,000 miles i have spent way to much time and $$$$$ to worry about this crap.... so with my 2005 rsv with 24,000 miles were "JUST GONNA RIDE".... CHANGE OIL EVERY 5K,PLUGS 10K AND TIRES WHEN IT NEEDS'EM. Were not gonna sweat the small stuff a ping here a clank there, "BFD".. lets ride and enjoy....... if it wants to break it will...
