  1. Thanks Jimod for posting this question and thanks Neil86 for the answer. I too have the panel off to change speedo and thought there might be a screw but couldn't see or feel what kind.
  2. BuddyRich has the idea. Cagers would have a really hard time saying they couldn't see you coming. Would be a LONG way down if lost control tho.Would be very intimidating.Would be a problem to park in garage .Also gas milage would probably suck.
  3. Glad to see you both walking around as by looks of traffic it could have been worse if it didn't end in median. Best wishes to both of you!!!! Hope you have NO problems with insurance. P.S. I must have been sleeping----when did this mishap happen(will have to pay more attention)Sorry.
  4. Best wishes from me and my family. Hope you are both better and recover as soon as possible. My friend and I went for a ride yesterday it was great getting out finally but was shocked to see another rider from work who had been driving around town was involved in an accident at an intersection. He is in good condition but NOT his bike which seems to be a write-off. Only thing is his insurance will get real high as he only had a M2 licence(graduated licencing here.
  5. Hey BluesLover I was at the Army booth but didn't see you--should have said Hi and we could have had a chat and met the other guys i was with. Thanks also to Swifty & BradT I thought the red Venture was Cancruiser's old one but as usual couldn't remember name.Owner did want enough for bike/not bad shape tho. We thought it was also pretty sparse for spectators also but that made it easier to get pictures of bikes and no line-up to get pics with models. Hopefully will get to work on bike this week as I am laid-off till 14th.Wish it wasn't such weird weather--but wouldn't be getting NOTHING done if it was nicer tho.
  6. As I posted before I and two others(Honda Shadow--Suzuki Bulovard) went on Friday as we were on lay-off and they wanted to go then.I wanted to go Sat(was out-voted) Just took some samples of the peperoni as they were NO WHERE NEAR Carls. As for the 1st gen -wasn't it one of our members bikes--85 with red diamond flame job? Was disapointed also about lack of our bikes.Thought there would be atleast 1 08 to look at. Bought a cheap vest for $30 just so I would have something to put patches on. Didn't take as many pictures I thought I would but o-well. Bought 2 2gig cards for digital camera but hardly used first one. Almost bought helmet and new tire but wasn't sure what to get. Will check on prices and maybe go to next show and buy. Got a few pictures done with the models that were walking around.Very nice tho.
  7. Wife bought me an 17" HP Laptop that came with Vista but have to wait till "Geek Squad" comes to hook it up to Internet and other computer. For the price she paid there isn't much on it as everything has a 60 day trial version installed. Sucks. She figured I would like it cause I could take it with me(a little big to go in trunk/ but not impossible). Will see how it works but sounds like it may be a problem like others.
  8. A Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all and their famillies from all of my familly. Hope you have a great holliday .
  9. I can't make this one but will be going to the one in January (Friday)with Honda and Suzuki riders from work.
  10. There should be two bolts or screws under the rubber cover under the mirror.Remove these or if they are mounted under neith then removing the C/B-- class cover you should be able to get at them from undeneith. Hope this helps
  11. Get Well Soon from my familly and myself to you and the rest of your familly.
  12. Great set of pictures.Well done.

  14. Well it started Friday with 1 -an accident with my trailer(old sno-mobile one that I knew tilted but not swiveled) that sidswiped a truck turning in other lane going other way 2 -Brother passing away on Sunday morning Thanks to all for condolences 3 -Wife hitting car driving thro a stop light infront of her from out of nowhere(must have been talking and didn't see it as everyone else was stopped). Think our 2005 car is tottaled but will have to wait and see what adjuster says. one person taken to hospital to check for seatbelt injury. Wife was shaken up a scene but seemed fine for about 1 1/2 hours then shock wore off and broke down.(first accident for her) What a week!!!!!!!!!!

Found web site for Ted's Range Road Dinner. Just Google and there it is.Not sure if you got my PM. so I an doing it here.
  23. First day of lay-off myself and two riders from work went for 500klm ride to Collingwood and surrounding area. Roads and scenery were great. Not to many trees were turning colour but it was a great ride anyway. Stopped for supper at Ted's Range Road Diner outside of Meaford (west of Collingwood)and had a Bison burger(good eats) . the menu was very broad including wild game allkinds of fish and sea food. He is biker friendly as one of my fellow riders seen his ad in in motorcycle magazine and as he doesn't open till 5:00pm his wife asked him and he opened at around 3:00pm just so we could have a meal(only burgers and fries with a drink) and be on our way. Would recomend this place for good food. Not much to look at from out side but all right inside. Looking forward to going to New York for the ride thru the mountains to see the leaves changing colour on the 13th of Oct.
  24. Reiny: I agree on your last rendering. Two thums up
  25. Well I just got back from my adventure to Kitchener. I was going to show up for the meeting but my floats stuck the same as they did before the ride to Fort Erie last Saturday. SORRY I won't make it as I will be draining carbs instead.Filled upwith gas after work in Ingersol and had supper--got changed and made it as far as Innerkip(10klm)and had to come home.
