Would love to have luck in finding second bike cheap for parts (even in that shape -which is doable) or even to tinker with on stormy days or winter months. You members with two or more are the lucky ones! Good luck from one who is enveous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they will fit. I bought a set at a shop for $75 and the instructions were for a Gold Wing and they look the same as pictured. The one's I bought are the same size as the Baker Wings I had on the bike when I bought it. Hope this helps. I will try to take pictures. -
Went to London Ontario to the motorcycle show on Sat. and they had a 2008 Venture on display at Hully Gully (cycle shop). The price on the sticker was $28,000 + tax, etc. They left off shipping for the show deal. Walked around and saw a fully decked Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classic for a outrageous price of $23,345. Seems to be a big difference price wise between U.S and Canadian.

Freebird--P-mailed you about payment for Guardian bell.

Anyone going to London Ontario bike show on Sat? Going in morning with guys from work, maybe see someone there.

I had the D404 on the front and rear of my 87 also and only got around 2000kl and went by other posts that said the Metzler tires were good, but later heard they were'nt. Have to change my front now also but am going with the Metzler just to see. I will probably try the Venom's next.

Carl--did you think to check(or remember) which side of the little horizontal bar with idle wheel(white plastic) did you take throttle cable from? Does anyone else know.Want to haven't on the right side while bike is "naked".Just finished putting in speedo that ryder gave me. Drained gas and am starting to work on replacing all fuel lines.
-
Picture is of my bike in the proses of changing speedo.

Glad I didn't take you(Carl) and Wayne up on your offer to park my 87 in your shed so we could work on all three bikes---DON'T know WHAT would have happened and then there's the matter of CUSTODY!!!!!!!!!!!!Might have been messy .

What day do you think you will be pulling apart and what are you doing to her? I am off Friday and might be able to drive down if you could use a hand. Far as I know I have nothing else planed except work on mine---but that can wait. Have whole front end(body-work etc) off frame to change speedo / fuel lines / put filter back on petcock(might have to get new one $90) fell off inside gas tank. Saturday may be open also. Has Wizzard brought his bike over yet?

BuddyRich has the idea. Cagers would have a really hard time saying they couldn't see you coming. Would be a LONG way down if lost control tho.Would be very intimidating.Would be a problem to park in garage .Also gas milage would probably suck.
-
Glad to see you both walking around as by looks of traffic it could have been worse if it didn't end in median. Best wishes to both of you!!!! Hope you have NO problems with insurance. P.S. I must have been sleeping----when did this mishap happen(will have to pay more attention)Sorry.
-
Best wishes from me and my family. Hope you are both better and recover as soon as possible. My friend and I went for a ride yesterday it was great getting out finally but was shocked to see another rider from work who had been driving around town was involved in an accident at an intersection. He is in good condition but NOT his bike which seems to be a write-off. Only thing is his insurance will get real high as he only had a M2 licence(graduated licencing here.

Hey BluesLover I was at the Army booth but didn't see you--should have said Hi and we could have had a chat and met the other guys i was with. Thanks also to Swifty & BradT I thought the red Venture was Cancruiser's old one but as usual couldn't remember name.Owner did want enough for bike/not bad shape tho. We thought it was also pretty sparse for spectators also but that made it easier to get pictures of bikes and no line-up to get pics with models. Hopefully will get to work on bike this week as I am laid-off till 14th.Wish it wasn't such weird weather--but wouldn't be getting NOTHING done if it was nicer tho.

As I posted before I and two others(Honda Shadow--Suzuki Bulovard) went on Friday as we were on lay-off and they wanted to go then.I wanted to go Sat(was out-voted) Just took some samples of the peperoni as they were NO WHERE NEAR Carls. As for the 1st gen -wasn't it one of our members bikes--85 with red diamond flame job? Was disapointed also about lack of our bikes.Thought there would be atleast 1 08 to look at. Bought a cheap vest for $30 just so I would have something to put patches on. Didn't take as many pictures I thought I would but o-well. Bought 2 2gig cards for digital camera but hardly used first one. Almost bought helmet and new tire but wasn't sure what to get. Will check on prices and maybe go to next show and buy. Got a few pictures done with the models that were walking around.Very nice tho.

Wife bought me an 17" HP Laptop that came with Vista but have to wait till "Geek Squad" comes to hook it up to Internet and other computer. For the price she paid there isn't much on it as everything has a 60 day trial version installed. Sucks. She figured I would like it cause I could take it with me(a little big to go in trunk/ but not impossible). Will see how it works but sounds like it may be a problem like others.

There should be two bolts or screws under the rubber cover under the mirror.Remove these or if they are mounted under neith then removing the C/B-- class cover you should be able to get at them from undeneith. Hope this helps
