  1. Son and girlfriend had their Gender Reveal and barbecue at our house today with friends and both Fathers and Moms. They divulged they will be having a GIRL in September. This is mine and Phantom Wife's(Beverly) first grand child! Looking forward to her arrival!!!
  2. Thanks for replies! yes I knew not to use Silicone but to use Dot4. the one I bought is Prestone Dot 4 Synthetic! Was checking out sluggishness of towing trailer(chugging)so pulled plugs and then things started to snowball into general maintenance procedures, plugs, air filter cleaning(K/N),brake fluid change, deep clean plus a couple broken tabs on lower fairing,etc.....
  3. Went for a ride to swap meet on Sunday(another waste of time, but enjoyed the ride) It was 200klm there and 200klm back. Rain stayed ahead of all the way there .Only had very light drizzle and road mist on the way there. On the way home sky's started turning dark around 35klm from home with a few big drops which I managed to ride out of and stayed dry the rest of the way. Yes I took my trailer incase I bought something!! Had many compliments!!
  4. Bought Dot 4 Synthetic brake fluid but didn't realize until I got home. Can we use it or do I have to take back and get regular Dot 4????
  5. Did well over 200klms today! Went to Paris Ontario for motorcycle swap meet(wasn't worth the trip) then went to London Ontario to pickup a DVD (American Graffiti) I've been trying to get, then Princess Auto for a few things. Hopefully weather holds out and can ride to Fort Erie tomorrow for another swap meet!
  6. Just got out this week with new tires mounted and feels great again. Bike is 2012 Royal Star Venture with just under 125,000klm(77,670mil).
  7. Got bike back from shop with new tires last week! They took off another $50 as I removed saddle bags, chrome bar protection and trailer hitch so cost me a total of $535Can. Did lay bike on it's side as wasn't used to it and too sharp and too slow turn( no damage). Took a couple short trips (bad weather)around then 50klm ride the other day!
  8. Going to take bike in to get new tires put on the Monday of the 22 this month. Taking to Performance Cycle in Cambridge Ontario where I've gone before. Got a few estimates (3--2 in town where I live)First was $695 + tax, the second was $750 tax in and the last was $600. Going with Performance because been there before and they had a mechanic that usually works on Ventures!
  9. Just received the bell and patches around noon! Thanks again!!!!
  10. Very nice!!!! Hope she enjoys it along side you!!!
  11. Thanks all for this!!
  12. Hoping for speedy recovery!!!
  13. Hope things are working for you both!!
  14. Good to hear this!!
  15. Congrats to @ragtop69gs!!
  16. Hopefully things go well!
  17. @Freebirdthank you for that picture! Looks like it could be a nice addition!!
  18. @ascaife01 I'm pretty sure it is an old Cotes model I bought at a swap meet! I have one on each of my 2 lawn tractors as shown in pictures. Have tried to find them at different stores but don't see them around (yellow, green and red but not blue)unless from a jobber shop but WAY out of what I can afford!
  19. I find a lot of things on Facebook that are probably scams. I think I've seen at least 3 or 4 tire changers way to low in price. Also bike movers(dollies) tables and add on's. You would think(yeh right) that they would try to keep scammers off or at least put something on to designate true sites!
  20. I was wondering if you could post picture of item please as I would like in on this! I have my 2012 Venture with 124727klms(77501.7miles) which I bought brand new and have driven it with great pride these many years . Drove it daily to work everyday (rain or shine from late March till snow stopped me,even during winter on good dry days) until retiring in 2020 because of health reasons (diagnosed with Diabetes) (also had 2 months short of 30 years). Ride it as much as I can except right now needs rear tire. Have gone out a few times still when dry just to keep my sanity in check!! Would have liked something newer but when retired wife showed up to show me what car she would like for my retirement present!!! So I will be driving my last(do not mind at all) for as long as I am around and maybe convert to keep going if I can! Not very lucky at draws so here goes!!!!(if I was I would have won SOMETHING by now!!)
  21. First picture: bent bar on right goes thru body where deck raise was and connects with rod inside then out to a set up that when you pull back it rotates bar then lift blade which is mounted to frame ahead of rear tires. Bar next to bent bar and beside hood is mounted to frame with threaded rod thru body to blade with eyelets which when pulled to back it rotates blade to left then when pushed back forwards it rotates to right. If you blow up 3rd pic. you should be able to see where it pushes back then pivots blade to go up.Rod on left fender is for forward and reverse There is a cable under seat that I pull to lift eye bolt up to let blade swing either way. Works much better in reverse than forward as it can turn sharper onto sidewalk instead of back and forth to line up when going forward similar to driving tow motor.
  22. Sorry @ragtop69gs read wrong ,we haven't had a K Mart for a long time!
  23. @ragtop69gs no I didn't buy at Walmart but from swap meet years ago. It is on my 2 tractors when I plow and blow snow from mine and neighbors sidewalks and lane ways as it is used for visibility when snowing. Even then I have to watch all the idiot drivers when going lane way to lane way.
  24. Happy New Year from Phantom Wife and I!!!!
