I apologize ahead of time for the long post!! Went for 2 day ride to Niece's Tuesday around Port Elgin Ontario with Phantom Wife. Had trailer also. Nice ride until we got about 15klm from their house in country and wife had to used facilities so stopped at a Tim Horton's then were ready to leave it started to rain.(FIRST time for her to ride in rain). Stopped in a small town and had breakfast -got rain suits on and continued on. Made it 10klm's and saw that the road we had to take was fresh gravel which was usually not a problem as I have ridden on them alot before. BUT when we started down THIS road I realized that this was going to be an adventure. There was so much gravel that bike started to swerve and float over the top of it . Wasn't bad until wife grabbed ahold of my coat sleaves and hands were slipping on grips. Got so bad that front was making almost 80degree turns and almost dumped over 4 or 5 times. Finally got to next turn and was packed until we went 500ft. and had to make a right onto fresh gravel again. Thankfully it was only 1.3klm to her house so wife walked while I rode there. Neice went to pick her up. Went to town next day and even without wife and trailer it was a FUN ride on these roads. Never that bad around here when it is fresh.Thurs. morning to make matters worse graders went by at least 4-5 times so when we were ready to leave she got a ride out to main road.Was fairly loose but managed to make it with no mishaps. Ride home was not that bad except for a few people pulling out in-front of us. Next time will call ahead to see what roads are like. All in all not a bad few days.

Thanks for the reply's! I can get the lemon pledge at most stores around here but I was trying to find the plain but according to the one reply I received the web site shows they don't sell it anymore. So I guess I might have to use the lemon again. Carl do you have no scent or scented?

Sorry posted about Endust but meant Pledge. So do any of you know where I could buy a few cans? tried every grocery store and anywhere else that might sell it but NO luck? Will I have to go and pick some up in the U.S. when I go to the Mini Rally or is there somewhere here? Want plain/no scent not lemon or orange

Is this product available in the U.S.? Maybe check when I go to N.Y.mini rally.

Does anyone here in Ontario know where I can buy some original (NOT Lemon or Orange scented) Pledge? I have checked all grocery stores/dollar/variety and drug stores around here and have not found any.

I made mine out of old car hitch cut down to fit with 1/4" plate up inside fender support. Some dealers(Yamaha) told me that sometimes Yamaha would not warranty something that towing could have caused. So I take it off just in-case--usually only takes about 1/2 hour.

Well I will finally be able to go on the Wed. ride which I usually don't get to go on because of working midnights. Is it still on? When?--time? Where starting?

This brought back my experience I encountered last year at a traffic light in town where I had a lady bump into me and almost pushed me into a Corvette. I also normally always check on traffic behind me and this time I forgot. Luckily I was able to stay upright and not hit anything else and it was a slow impact. Thoughts go out to these people and their family's!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see it. Plus it will be MUCH easier to do U-TURNS as you don't have to worry about falling over if wheel is turned too far.

I have 2012 and it is Black with red flecks that show up in sunlight. Didn't realize this until mechanic showed us when we picked it up.

Well thanks for the visit Carl & Saddlebum even tho it was a short one. In my defence I had worked midnight shift over-time and had gone on a ride with Phantom Wife(about a 100klm or better) so I was about getting ready to get some sleep in a while.

Just got back from riding for first time this year. Haven't been this late getting out in a long time. Usually out in early March or earlier but not this year. Only had 3 caggers not see me. Rode around for a few hours then met brother in law at my house and talked for a while. was going to go out with him and his wife but have to get some sleep as I work midnights.

I don't know about most other people but I leave mine on all the time--much better to be seen!

Welcome to your new bike!!!! I did the second gen in 2012 and don't regret it. Altho the Harley would have been nice BUT like you I prefer drive-shaft and liquid cooling over belt. AND a lot less to pay off ! I have seen it before and you have a nice one there. It looked well maintained. I also STILL have my 87 that I hope to put back on road someday. Doesn't look good right now as working 6 days a week sort of cuts down on available time. Have a few fairings that have to be repaired and get motor running again etc.

Like every-one else has said there is nothing I could add but hope things work out whatever they may be.

Don't know about U.S. warranty(as everything seems different between our two countries) but here in Ontario Canada my dealers told me that many people do pull trailers BUT if there is damage done that mama Yamaha might not repair under warranty as they are not made to pull trailers. Pretty sure owners manual says this also.

I got there around 10:15am. Did drive around outside roads then parked first road past where police were directing traffic when you came into Dover. Was that Gambler I saw on road by tennis court when we were diverted onto east side road? there were a couple of Royal Star Ventures on east side of road.

Sorry to hear your trip is getting near to its end. Hope you had a great trip! Sorry to have missed see you again but hope to see you again and I will try very hard to introduce Phantom Wife to you!
