Went to go to Picket line and bike turned over good but wouldn't start so retried and nothing just buzzed. Put spare in and took to battery shop and they tested it saying there were no bad cells but needed charge. Put on charger for less than 2 hours and said it was charged. Tried test that was suggested -rev bike to around 2500 to 3000rpms and check voltage which was around 13.7v. Is this OK (they said should be over 14.5v) or should I look into a new voltage regulator? Anything else to check. It is a 2012.

Battery charged up in around 2 hrs at 2amp. Took off and checked at 12:54 volts. Checked spare battery I put in and revved bike up to what sounded about that rpm and stayed around 13:75volts. Think this OK or should I investigate further?

Went to go to picket line(our local union 88 is out because of corporate greed[my opinion]they shipped one of our vehicles to MEXICO ) and bike didn't start right away so tried second time and bbbbuuuuzzz no start. So got tools out and put in spare battery I had laying around and took battery in for test and they said no dead cells but tester said recharge and recheck. Brought battery home and put on regular charger at 2amps like they said and 2 hours later it said full charge. So not sure if battery will be OK or should I check charging system. Battery is 5 years old but have got longer time out of it.

Got home around 4pm. Had a great time riding with my fellow riders except for the time at border crossing( must have answered about 10 questions before crossing. Just as we got to last of us going to booth they opened up another one. Tooch got thru a lot faster as he went into line beside us. Must have been my comment about being lucky we weren't in the line going into the U.S. as it was up over the bridge and all booths open. When we got over the bridge all lines leading to the 7 booths were backed up behind us also. when we got thru border and said our goodbyes the line on the Canadian side was backed up for miles before Duty Free Many thanks to ALL who spent their time and thought into putting on (in MY opinion) another GREAT Western New York rally this year. I very much hope there will be another next year as it is one of 2 that I can usually get to go to. The other is Freebird's Maintenance day. So hopefully many more people will be able to attend ----please try as I would love to meet more new and old friends . Some I have met before and those I only know on the web site.. You missed a great Western New York rally and also----plug----Ontario's National Rally in Mindon Ontario which was ALSO a great weekend! This is also MY attempt to convince all those who are on the fence about coming to any or all 3 of these events----try---as you will have a great time.

As I didn't get tires installed as planned I will not be leaving Wed. as planned. So if you wouldn't mind company Thurs. what time will you be leaving for Casablanca?
-
Just got bike back from dealer after new tires installed. 2 Dunlop 3's for $650can. installed on bike
-
Cleaned off bike table then changed oil. Checked tires out as I will be going to U.S. and they were close to wear bars. Called shop I normally go to(Zdeno recycling) they wanted almost $975can. installed on bike as they do first come no appointment. Also they said that prices were going up shortly.Thought that was a bit steep so I checked with a couple shops and they said from $600 - $800 for the same. So I made appointment and must of mistaken him as I heard him say bring bike in Sat. and he could have it done by Mon. I told him I ride all the time and I could handle a couple days without bike B U T I guess I got it WRONG as he said he had me booked for Tues. (told him I was leaving for the U.S. on Wed. morning) and he discussed it with me----I don't remember that conversation. If he said he had me booked for Tue. I would have taken bike down on Mon. and rode all weekend and got it ready for Wed. morning. Now I have to wait till Tues. put trailer hitch back on and break in new tires before I go. Might have to wait till Thurs. now. Maybe I will have to start recording my conversation from now on like guy at work does.

Hey MarCarl just saw this and thought of you!

Couldn't get my old hand grips off when Marcarl gave me a hand to upgrade my clutch. I now know that since I left my bike outside Wed in the hot sun I took it into the garage and slowly tried to brake the weights loose and then used impact gun and they finally came off so now when I get some time I can finally put my KuryAkyn grips on. Also mounted extra usb power outlet to charge my play book and phone.
