  1. We can keep this one bumped up til Don gets to look at it.
  2. Thats something on those pipes!! Carefull and don't get them too restricktive. It needs to breath.
  3. "BLUE Beast" had 98,700 miles on her and when she left left everyone knew it. Redline was home to her and the longer she stayed there the better she ran.
  4. Don if it is not repairable I have a dead one that I need to remove from the Blue Beast. Had almost forgotton it. It started cutting out bad and I grabbed one from E-Bay and put it on top of air-box couple years ago. When I hooked the old one up later it wouldn't fire at all.
  5. Had large Shepard few years ago that would chase me every evening on way home from work on one lane back road. He tore up a few pair of jeans and owner thought it was funny. Wore 16 inch Line boots at the time so he didn't do much else. Caught him just right one evening and placed boot under his chin as I was going lot faster than usual trying to miss him. He was still lying in ditch next time I went by there. Owner never said a word.
  6. Don't know if you can get that thing or not. I would try to make something fit over it maybe glue it back togather?
  7. Too much fluid in rear Master. Bleed some out you should be OK
  8. What Buddy said. first guess would be dirty caliper. Not hard to fix.
  9. Open carb drains and make sure you are getting fuel.
  10. Sorry but sounds like TCI but with good fresh plugs it should start if you are getting spark to two cylinders.
  11. Now that could get a few comments. But I won't say Nothing...:stirthepot:
  12. NGKs work great.
  13. Good plan if it works. Make money quick.
  14. Fuel filter on top of swingarm at front of rear tire on right side. Hard to get to. Best done when tire is off.
  15. Wonder how much weight those outside wheels carry. My rear tire mileage is bad enough now. I can see Burn-Outs with that thing.....
  16. Sure about notches on plates ans Spring plate? Got to be some little thing.
  17. No slip and redline in 3rd gear?? Might be interesting.
  18. Did you replace the Spring?
  19. Some say you must run same thing on front and rear and I like to if it works out that way. You shouldn't mix Radial and Bias ply, keep same type of tire on both ends but different Brands shouldn't make difference. South West Mototires.com treats us good. I had extra in shed this time but several can be had for around 100 a tire.
  20. I just replaced one with good tread and some nasty looking cracks in it. Couldn't think of anything else when riding.
  21. E-Bay is the spot for 1st Gens. Most things are interchangable fron 83 to 93 but some of the pretties are diffferent. Ask here when you are looking. You know bags are different? Side covers are different on 83 but could be made to work. Just ask before you buy.
  22. JT has it, one key fits all. Take Ignition off and take to locksmith.
  23. GOOD ONE!!! Thanks.
  24. What buddy said. Once you are here, and we know where you live.
  25. Had temp guage problem when i got my first venture and it was just matter of tightening up wire ends. Those gears will fit and you can do a lot more to it as you do the gears. You will know it pretty well by the time you get them in there. Riding without 2nd is not bad at all just skip over it and you don't miss it after a while, but 2nd is a lot of fun gear.
