    Finally got fuel pump to start taking fuel thru it. Drained carbs and filled with a mix of Gum-out Carb cleaner, Sea-Foam, Marvel Mystery Oil And about 1/3 fresh gas. Running out of time so it will have to sit for few days with this in it. It is hitting now and trying to start. Plugs are new but have had a lot of gas, carb cleaner and gunk ran pass them. May change before I try again. Would have been easier to swap carbs out but once I got started on them couldn't quit.

    Interesting. Carbs are close togather would this make difference??

    Things have been looking better around here last couple months. The New to me 1st Gen has more problems than I was told or are just bigger than I expected but can be cured and it is still a 1st Gen with 22k on it. And a 83 the Fastest of them all. Leg is coming back a lot (can almost run). Dr. cleared me from heart scare last week and told me I could start working out again. Don't know if I told all that or not but when I was first able to get out of bed after being down I pushed it a little too hard and passed out fell in middle of floor. Drs and everybody claimed heart attack. I told them I just ran out of gas but they said no and put me thru a ton of tests to check everything out and got me worried about it while going thru all this. Then last week Doc said "We can't find any damage and everything seems OK You must have just been exhausted. Hey somebody said that a couple months ago. Wonder who that was??? Guess they needed the money. Didn't mean to write book but thought that ought to be cleared up. One of the reasons I didn't want to do anything for a while. But I'm back to getting grease under my nails, got a 1st Gen I WILL MAKE RUN. (Might have to call Denden on those carbs.) Leg is going to make it I think. TIME TO RIDE!!! No Skid, I couldn't find a match!!!! :rotfl:But I was looking!!

    The Methhead I have had to put up with is gone evicted two days ago and his house burnt to the ground this morning. No I didn't. But I cheered. Warden did call Fire Dept after it was going good. ashes are all thats left.

    Sounds like main lead has problems. Just move the wires around with switch on and see if you can get it to come back and maybe locate where trouble is at. Main fuse is a real good place to look. Take it out and clean it.

    Keyboard is for horns that aren't working. He claims blown fuse in behind headlight. Still has regular horn that works. Will get into other one when it is running.

    Yep did over 300 miles last couple day with a Venture. Only problem it was in back of truck. Got great gas milage!!

    Got slides loose need to get cleaner in carbs not wanting to take it thru fuel pump. Chokes are stuck. It has sat for a while

    Got it home!! FrogMan and I had a time unloading it with the Warden supervising. Got started on it. I have no doubt of the motor being good but carbs are worse than I thought. Slides are stuck very tight. Can't move them starting to take apart. More Later.

    Got to talk to him last night finally. The thing is loaded, going to need to change some bulbs to LED's I think

    Going to be a long two days. Can't wait to see it now. Still haven't got to talk to him but got phone number and map quest directions. Just my work hrs are so crazy. Gonna try him again tonight from prison. That call ought to make him wonder. Got some questions about it but ad looks great!!! Got to run Work calls!!

    That TURBO tag has me wondering. He didn't scrimp on dressing it just Maybe......... Guy is selling it for his brother and doesn't describe all. Anybody know of a Turbo Charged one???

    Just bought a "New" 1st Gen that has been ridden less than 900 miles a year. Sure didn't belong to anyone around this site.

    Back on my diet and some of those gadgets may go into storage!! Then I still got a couple tricks.... Better have a talk with "Brown Sugar"
