Yep, welcome to the club!! Did it last time on my 750. Very dependable bike, hit switch as I was turning around in a tight place miles from nowhere. Hope it forgives me for all the things I called it before I saw the switch.

My project sat for a few years in heated garage. Time is my problem. But it is getting there.

losing brakes
Yammer Dan replied to Dexx's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The method of pulling handle in against handlebar and tying it there with cap loose works great on clutch. Haven't tried it on brakes. But it will bleed the clutch when it is being stubborn. -
With one of our WV Copperheads in there it could provide some entertainment!!!

Charlie, when they get that size are they still as good to eat?? Walleye about 18 in to 2 ft are about impossible to beat I think.

Gonna be a lot of that coming up. I think I'll retire and start buying up all the 250-800 old bikes I can find, go thru them and resale. Might be something there with the ones that will do over 40 MPG.

Charged battery and it wouldn't start. Couldn't be much. It just don't get run enough.

Going to work at hospital last night and made wrong turn. Cut thru a alley and there sitting on a back porch was a 1st gen. House looks empty so I took a closer look. It is a 83-85 The side covers are gone and the bags are gone. Tags are 96. Tank is full of rust the worst I have ever seen. It is a light blue (Orion Silver?) and a dark blue. Darker than my 84 was. Covered porch so there might be some parts there. Only 22k on it. Good Engine? If not stuck. Plastic may be stored inside??? Got to go back and find somebody.

Bum got the right idea!! We got some close to that down here Charlie but I CAN"T CATCH THEM!!!

Which tells me, a LOT of you simply didn't do a darn thing except talk and tell lies the whole time you were here OK Who did you have watching me?? Saw pen as it was making the rounds but was being watched too closely at the time!! -
GREAT NEWS Bob. Be carefull with it and heal quickly!

Think we could find several that would vouch for that!! Did you tell him you sold the best bike Craig???
-
With the 84's you don't have to worry about frame!!

Would love to be there Skid but Sombody got to watch the Convicts. They promised They wouldn't run off but...... Find out what you can about it I'm getting tired of not riding. I got another set of carbs off E-Bay last week for about 100 bucks. Off a running bike he claimed. Yeah it might have been running about 1910!!

I wouldn't drain oil I would just add about 10 to 16 ozs of Sea-Foam run it for few minutes and drain.

Hey Skid, What info do you have on the Venture that was for sale. I might go look just to be nosey....

I would think rings and bearings would be OK JT. Gunk shouldn't be around these anyway.
