Hot starts can be cured by increasing size of starter cables Yamaha didn't make them heavy enough. Might be some still for sale around here. Sombody will chip in with info. Or you can pull starter and clean and put in new brushes and it helps. Not a major problem. -
I won't need chrome screwdriver. Fixed the thing. Starts with that little button on handlebars. You were right Squid. Some junk parts are that. Just Junk. Wonder what I paid for that thing???
-

I'm colorblind but it sure is purty. That burgandy looks black to me with just a little red cast to it. Kind of a light silver.

TCI or CDI, Brain, computer. They collect dampness which can cause them to fail could be but sometimes can be cured by removing them and drying them out or could be dirty plug to TCI. Pull, clean and Die-Electric grease it. Not complicated as it sounds. Leave messing with it as last resort if you don't get it except for cleaning plug. That should be part of maint on these things. -
Sombody ran over my mail box post and it dissappeared. Those moderators been around here???

Made History and tomorrow I'm RIDING!! Frogman offered me the use of a 1st Gen. The "RED BARON" no less. But it is just not the same. Thanks Froggy. I'll crank up that 750 in the morning and go riding. Offered to take baffles out of Vance&Hines 4in1 for Skid and wake up entire town of Gasaway but he declined and saved me a headache. But tomorrow (if nothing goes wrong) I'M RIDING!!! Noiseist one in the bunch and uglyist but stoplight to stoplight?????

Try those and get back to us. Could be plug to TCI. May have to pull it and dry it out or replace at worse. E-Bay for these as they arte about $600. from Yamaha. Stay with us we will get it going as it should. -

Still no action from button. Where is first place to look??? May get to do one of the rides at Skid-In yet if I have to carry screwdriver in pocket!! Help quick where look first??

Sea-Foam!! you are on the right track there. It will cure a lot of problems. You need to check Carb Diaphragms (can't spell) How many miles on it and have these been replaced?? They may have holes in them. Some can be patched with Liquid Tape.
