  1. VTX is a Honda? With very loud pipes and young kid. Ugly only has 23k but sounds like it might be slipping a little. Might need to change springs.
  2. Tried to find one of those things that roll newspapers into logs and couldn't find one. Used to be everywhere.
  3. VERY INTERESTING!! Where do we get and how much?? I got a 1300 VTX that is getting sassy.

  9. Take your time sort it out and see what looks like it needs replaced and if you feel you can handle it go for it. Let us know.
  10. Like to hear opinions on this. I'm still doing it at 3500. Oil and filter. My Buick has about 200k and runs great! Don't use enough to notice between changes.
  11. # 1 Sea-Foam. STRONG!!! About a full can to 1/2 tank! Some say not this strong but it has worked for me.

  14. PODCAST ?? I ain't broke nothing lately.. and it isn't a 1st Gen part that I know of ?? Does sound like it could be good for repairs. But does this make more work or expense for Don???
  15. http://www.mightyputty.com They have a great deal going on now. 6 tubes for about 20 bucks. I got it haven't used it yet but sounds good. Or go to wally mart and get Devcron Plastic Weld. It is cheap and great stuff. If crack is not bad and can be put back togather ABS Pipe glue is the way to go. Just get glue into crack good move pieces against each other to create bond and hold til sets a little.
  16. Have been looking for something to soak carbs in while cleaning off the bike. This could be answer. In a plastic tub. Soak others while breaking one down would help a lot.
  17. looking good. Only 5 more and you could catch me. Going to quit now?
  18. Where is Virginia??
  19. You have the characteristics of a master street rider. On the way to work, your love for riding sometimes leads you to take the long way. The 50-miles-of-back-roads long way. You live for the perfect road, and plan vacations around riding. You need a bike that can handle your addiction to the twisties as well as comfortably carry two on a weekend trip through the mountains. Your bike is the FJR1300. Can I borrow it someday? This is one I would take a long look at if I were going to buy a new bike. But I have a 1st Gen or two to go thru yet!! But I stay as far away from the "Streets " as I can. WV backroads are my thing.
  20. I get to ride to work and back. 38 miles of WV twisties. Sometimes it's hard to turn in at the gate. And Skid puts a few miles on that Blue & Gold cruiser each year. Froggie is on the road every day. Not too bad. BUT WE NEED TO RIDE!!!
  21. I'm working on getting some weekend days off. Tell those FNG's they have to work the weekends and they get "SICK" Bunch of babies!!
  22. Filed that # away. Hope they got some 85 stuff hid away somewhere.
  23. That was a "RIDE" Remember the Dodge Hemi? Busted two of them, with the "Beast" We need to do it again. "Ugly" is not the "Blue Beast" but getting close. I still have a couple things to do to her. And with 2nd gear. Work still getting in the way. Maybe....
  24. but I wasn't going to say it.
