You know what SUCKS?? They called me late last night after I got home and told me I don't have to work today!!!! I could have called off for tomorrow they could have covered that one. And guess where I could be.

Glad you are doing better Sherry. We need you on here. Parts?? I got a few. Retire and put them togather for a 1st Gen that would have outran the "BLUE BEAST" Maybe with same engine. And I got enough Bling to make it hard to look at! Just need few more V-Max parts...

With a 1st Gen you could have caught him and returned the compliment as you went past him!!!

If you have a Dollar Tree around they have Power House cleaner for a buck a can that is just as good as Pledge.

I guess I'm supposed to be White but it turns Blue in a hurry when things go wrong. Story about blackberry wine. 10 or 15 yrs ago I made 3 gallon. Came out really good. we drank one, I gave one to my brother and put the other one in the cellar. ( I still Have one)I thought it ought to be getting really good or could have gone bad... Son was in last year and I suggested we pull it out dust it off and try it. He looked a little embarrassed and said "Dad, Thats not wine thats grape kool-aid. We drank that wine years ago." We being him,sister and neighbor boy & girl. He said it was Good!!Now what kid would do anything like that??

Mine acted like that and it was fuel pump. Wouldn't keep carbs full I guess? Maybe takes a little pressure to push it thru needle valves? Still haven't finished that one. It was one that had sat for a while. I think you are on the right track. I would try hooking up fuel pump to see. You are right carbs have to be out. You could look into throats as you worked throttle and try to get them close. All sync does is make sure they are opening togather. Look in there and make sure they are closing and then adjust then til they look like they are opening togather. But I'm betting on fuel pump.

Thats the way it goes. Been several good looking 1st Gens go since I grabbed "UGLY" One right now with less than 20k that looks great. And Cheaper!! And several BLUE ones.. -
WTB Fuel Pump

Don't need fuel pump. Sea-=Foam it first. Check Diaphragm on that carb. Check plug wire. -
Carefull with old house there can be hidden problems. Check to see why floor is not level. Replacing joists can be rough and costly. Check foundation close make sure you know what is going on with it. And then if you can pound nails you will be OK. How many nails does a Good Carpenter take home with him every day??? ALL TEN!!!!
