    Spline end just dropped down Rick. Never had much trouble putting them back before.

    I have changed quite a few rear driveshafts on 1st Gens and have never had one drop as it did today. When I pulled it there was a big clunk! Kind of dry!! It fell completely down and I'm having a time geting it back in.Always kept mine lubed good and if you are carefull you just pull it and slide it back in. Not this time. I fought it for about a hour and left it. How do you put it back. I pulled the rubber boot back but couldn't get to it. Is this the way to do it and I just need to pull boot completly off??

    Proves 1st Gens can still kick Butt??? I don't know but I got 5600 miles out of a new Avon on rear!! That is the best I've ever gotten. Most of them about 3500 and they are toast!!

    Glad it wasn't any worse. The full faced lids do their job. Only way to go. Leather saves a lot of hide. Hope you recover quickly. Maybe someone with a trailer is close to you. Good luck with it.

    I figured it out! Tater has arrows!!!! I'm more that 1/2 Indian so I might fit in here somewhere.. Warden used to tell me I had no friends or was that fiends?? I got a few of them too!!

    Like Gene says they make you nervous. We have Harbor Freight one with extention on it to hold longer bikes and legs are a thought. Will have to look at that.

    I hope they are. I bought a set of grips for "UGLY" that are 7/8s Haven't tried them yet.

    All the teasing I do on here she ignores. But those pics on the way home I'm still trying to explain!! Would would have thunk. I think I've almost talked her out of that one. Wonder what I can do next?? If we get there I'm sure I can think of something!!!
