I had a 74 that I "Dusted" a lot of Hardley's with from stoplight to stoplight!! And could head off road when I wanted!! Those were the days!!! First time I strapped crutches to the back of one!!

All my vehicles and my house are paid for. But I don't have a 2nd Gen??

Good One!! I sent in the last payment on my house this month. And took great pleasure in letting them know that if I ever needed to do this again it would not be with them!!! My orginal loan was with Chase and they for some reason sold it to Vanderbuilt. Chase was good to deal with. Never got anything but nasty attitude anytime I needed to talk to Vanderbuilt. Paid off what ws supposed to be 30 yr loan in less than 10 yrs. is that what they were upset about? Don't make ant difference now!!! Feels good to get out from under one don't it Gerald?

If you take the clamps off, (the ones with the allen wrench head) spread them open and grind ears down so clamp can draw up tighter. So ears won't stop it from closing. This is probally all you need.

Wouldn't most of that Motorkote stayed up in there for a while?? Isn't it supposed to stick to the metal?

Slow down. Take it easy. The down tubes should come out but will just take a lot of wiggling. You can reach over top of nut to hold bolt don't remember exactly how. The front pipes have to come off too and they are a b****. Have fun. Once you do it it gets a lot easier. Don't understand where leak is coming from.

And who is going to outrun who??10 yr old or 16- 25 yr old???
-
Bazooka to the front. 12 guages to the rear!! Now we are getting somewhere!!

Dennis Kirk always seems to have what they say they do. Makes it a lot easier when you need something.

Sea-Foam at NAPA this evening for $9.95 a can!! At that price it won't be used as much by me as it was.
-
When the 1st Gen starts to leave you its time to shift!! Won't help but it MIGHT keep you in sight in the 1st Gens rear view.
-
Good Job Margaret. How many days left?? Don't tell us you ain't counting!!!

With the price of Sea-Foam going like it is this thread could use more brain work. Leaves me out when you start talking chemicals. Camp Fuel?? A good concentrated cleaner? Small amount for Maint.?? Marvel Mystery Oil? This is a good old one. Not too pricey yet and good for Maint. Berryman's? Supposed to be a fair cleaner. Won't harm seals? Yamaha Ring Free? This stuff is Great. Almost or as good as Sea-Foam and almost as costley. Sea-Foam? About to price itself out of my garage unless I need a major cleaning for some reason. Maybe once a year. How many others??
-
Seems I've had that problem. And all I can remember is I just kept Sea-Foaming it to death and finally something broke loose. Shouldn't be problem this time or could one of the jets got missed?? Not likely to miss them in all 4 cleaning as you say. I'll keep scratching my head. Might even come up with something. Stranger things have happened. Meanwhile I would just keep riding might be one of those things that just go away after it is run a while. Little Sea-Foam wouldn't hurt it?? Stuff is getting too pricey to use like I used to. Is the Camp Fuel as good a cleaner as Sea-Foam?
