    Welcome!! Probally didn't need the Barnette clutch only the springs the clutch plates themselves hardly ever wear out. But at least you know it won't be slipping. Thinking about doing that myself just for the peace of mind but mine brings the front wheel up easy in 2nd and I think 3rd at times so its not slipping much. Thay do have a little slop in them.

    Times like this you wish you could be there. Got a Voltmeter? Check and make sure juice is getting to starter (with Button pushed) and go backwards from there.

    I CARE!! How long does it take you to get out of bed?? Don't have to plan these major events yet do you?? Makes me madder that he** that you can run up and jump on that Venture the way you can. I could do it from the back when I got my first Venture!!! Thinking about getting me a stepstool next!! Why is youth wasted onthese youngins?? Had to say something Lil'Beaver. All good advice here. Tires are probally causing most of it. But it is time to check Drive train out to make sure it is in good shape and lubed right. Or you could wait til your hearing gets like mine and it won't bother you at all!!!

    We had some convicts that could give you lessons. One old man claimed he could make "Julip" with a shoestring or anything. I could tell the story of the Fat man and making "Julip" How are your stomachs?? And it is true!!! I saw it.

    Mine is on its way out at 24,000 miles. Some Road Stars and 2nd Gens will be glad to hear that. I ain't gonna tell them about the new transmisson I got!!

    How much air you have in the shocks is a biggie. I only keep about 30 lb in the rear and less than 10 in the front. You can get away with a lot less as Randy said. Try about 5 lb in front and 15 to 20 in rear. If Progressive springs have been added to this thing they will pick the front up a lot. Makes a LOT of difference. My 85 handles great. I laid it down once by having it jacked up with too much air. Keep it as low as you can and don't forget to jack it up to about 50 when you want to put it on centerstand.

    I guess I'm lucky. My favorite food is a Big Greasy Burger and fries or onion rings. I'm cheap!! Thats about all I eat when I go out anywhere. The warden feeds me plenty of varity when I'm home (that woman can Cook!!) so I don't look for much special out there away from home. And I do very little of it compared to most. Transport Convicts to hospitals or other Lockups. Take them a bag lunch along and have a 3/4 pound burger while they are eating that!!!
