I took Brown Sugar out for a while today and as I was going down river road a Hardley came up behind me. I was just taking it easy and loafing along in 5th gear. I heard the Hardley drop it a few gears and really crack it. Thats a lot of noise!!! Didn't intend to do anything about just let him go. He got up beside me looked over and grinned!! I swear I don't remember doing anything. I was running on cruise set at 50 mph!! Brown Sugar dropped to 3rd and the throttle rolled all the way back!! :whistling:When I got her under control and slowed down I stopped at a little store a few miles down the rode and a little later he pulled in. Rolled past me took a good look and on out the other side of the lot without speaking?? I think that bike has a mind of its own sometimes??

Warden says "Get in car and drive South!!" Leaving Fri night may stop when wheels get wet? Or anywhere in between. Great plans for this one. Go find Beach?? Budget a lot tighter for Vacation on Retirement check. I told her we could take tent. She didn't seem to like that idea?? Taking sister-in-law along. She backs the Warden up. Going to be a long trip.... I may need Meds!!!

seafoam, berrymans, and 44K...but how about startron?
Yammer Dan replied to a topic in Watering Hole
Gallon size comes up at 100 bucks in the only on-line site I could find with price. Thats about twice Sea-Foam price. -
Costs a bunch to raise kids now a days!!

I'm still laughing at those eyes Gunk. Showed them to the Warden and she told me I couldn't laugh, I'd looked like that more than once!!! But I laughed anyway. Sounds like you are having Great time.

There is a big thumb screw type between the two carbs on left side to set idle. Just have to take big side cover off. Easy once you find it. Just look up between the carbs from below and you can't miss it. Set idle in less than 5 min. Did you have removable turndowns with the springs? These are hard to come by.

Hey Joe one opf the problems with putting anything in there is clearance to put lid back on. Looks like it might be a issue with those. My old one is getting brittle but I have a new glass tube panel I think is going in mine and I'll worry about it in another 25 yrs...

another 2nd gear question
Yammer Dan replied to DesertRider's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Mine don't have it and I would have bet this guy had his done if available. Could Yamaha go back and check records. Dealer won't do it. -

Sounds Good. I'll have to try that one now. -
I still claim with a little common sense and a can of Sea-Foam you can cure over 75% of the carb problems you will have. And a couple ozs in a tank a few times a year you won't have the problems to deal with. Good luck with the Honda. A little more Sea-Foam wouldn't hurt it.

Dano could be right on this one. Are you capable enough with a iron to resolder those pins? Might be a fix. TCI's are getting hard to come by. There is a new one being made but I don't know price or what you need to make it work. It is not Original equipment. There is a thread here on it if you can figure it out.
