    Looks like a little time polishing will make a lot of difference!!

    A drop of Super Glue will hold them if you get stuck out somewhere and one comes apart. I put quite a few miles on it before I replaced it for peace of mind.

    Sounds like you might have got a good one Randy. My 85 with only 19k ended up being one of the ones with the weak tranny. Going out already. Good luck with yours.

    We can always hope. I might move up from the 1st Gens if they did it right. Back to more of the same body style. A V-Max engine. All LED lights. A good sound system w/CB ????

    I went thru that with the "Blue Beast" when I busted the whole top out of the collector at the 1st Vogel. I think there are a few that remember that.

    It's 2nd thats starting to go!! But it will still bring the front wheel up when you go from 1st to 2nd. 3rd is the "get gone" gear anyway!!

    And got my other 1st Gen out. Tucked "Brown Sugar" away in Skids garage and got "Ugly" out. Think she was mad at me for ignoring her for the summer. Coughed,farted and burped most of the way home til she got over it and started to run about 1/2 like she should. Guess I'll have to baby her for a while Ain't nothing wrong with having the Two Fastest Ventures in the area!!!
