  1. Still cleaning up his mess. I'm ready to forget the concrete floor and just build one.
  2. I run about 4 to 5 lb air in my front with Progerssives. Just because I feel better with a little air in there. With the Progressives you don't need air.
  3. Grindo might have a set for sale (I Hope!!)
  4. Thanks Lew.
  5. :sign yeah that::sign yeah that::sign yeah that::sign yeah that::sign yeah that::sign yeah that:
  6. Prayers on the way.
  7. Are we related??
  8. Now who would that be...:whistling:
  9. Or 1st Gen??9 might miss. I don't need to reload...:rotfl:
  10. I don't have a knee. Does a steel leg count?? Steel inside from the knee down leg and foot. I keep pills with me but I ride.
  11. All the above. He had better hope I don't decide to see where he is going. There is a lot built up inside me and one of these days someone is going to get a little of it.....
  12. Progressives. How often do you add air? Seals not leaking? If it holds air pretty good and the seals aren't leaking a lot just drop in the progressives and go!!
  13. I can get along with anyone that wants to get along!! But calling me Stupid will stick forever. Sorry Don. I will leave if needed. As for the brakes Gary on the 86 they just don't feel right. I'm thinking lines. A good working MK 1 system doesn't need improvment in my opinion. But each to his own. Just ride and enjoy!! I'm more interested in the Go than the stop....
  14. Hey Don a off the wall thought. But I don't fly normal anyway!! There are a lot of diffferent latches for house doors now. Check Home Depot, Lowes and see if something could be adapted to work??
  15. I have a room full of parts before E-Bay went crazy and started thinking everything was made of gold. If I could get a blasted garage up "Black Beauty" is my 1st project. A 83 with a new frame from Yamaha in 2000 and a new tranny waiting. Lots of Bling and a few "Go Faster" parts. Good looking Black Cherry paint. Might have to retire "Brown Sugar" Hope she didn't hear me.
  16. Yeah the Maxium stops Great but a little more work to changing brakes. I check them every time I pull rear wheel. But I can lock front or rear without much effort. Can do same on Venture and without ABS what can be gained?? I've got the calipers to do "Ugly" my 85 but Steel lines are the best way to go for the 86? I don't intend to unlink either. In a panic situation I've leave it up to the proportioning valve to handle things when I grab all I can grab. I am not a Pro. I have a brother that claims he is better than ABS and I call Bull.... on that one too!!! YEAH I KNOW!! Get Back in the Corner!!!!
  17. Just Slower..... somebody had to say it!!!
  18. Yeah did you find originals? Wondering how they could have gotten out of there. Glad you got it going.
  19. That is a thought Ruffy but I have no idea and am getting afraid to comment. The stuff softens plastic but cleaning the rim with it????
  20. Glad you got lucky on one. When I did I painted the edges where I opened it on the outside to help seal. I used clear fingernail polish. Just on the outside so I could open it again if I wanted.
  21. I don't Jack. I have drum on the rear of that 750 Maxium with disk on the front and they work great. But about 500 lb less than the Venture??
  22. Is it W-W-Wi-Winter??
  23. I like the linked system. Just a little more "Grab" on the whole system would be nice. I'm looking at R1 stuff and steel lines but I don't think that I would do away with linked system.... But goose claims I ain't too bright???
