    Earl is a little hairy... I've always been lucky with those gaskets I guess. Can't remember having to replace one and no leaks. But I guess it will only take one and I'll start replacing them.....Don't want anybody to mistake my Venture for a Hardley.

    Get some real strong Sea-Foam in there and let it work for a while.

    I would just pull cover add extra spring and put cover back on. 20 min and try it out. Bet it don't slip. Those friction plates hardley ever wear out. This is the easy way out and should take care of any slipping.

    I would use the old ones. And if you are carefull most times you can tap that cover remove it carefully and not even need a gasket. If you do ruin it its not going to leak that much til you can get one.

    Have all that power and not be able to transfer it to the rear wheel. I feel bad so I won't mention we are talking about 2nd Gens..... No kidding Guys Earl's kit will cure your clutch woes. You might want to change out the fluid while you are in there.

    Sounds like he is fighting Jeff. Thats good news. I play the other side here. I wouldn't know how to pay a bill. The Warden has always been a great manager andI learned to just turn her loose and stay out ofthe way. I don't even know where the check book is!! Tell your Dad we are praying for him.
