  1. I think a few here use the Rotella. I change the Castrol about every 3000. Sooner if I plan a long trip and don't want to run too far over. There are several good oils. Pick a good one and CHANGE IT AS YOU SHOULD!!! Nuff said.
  2. If you ride a 1st Gen you can disreguard this. Rear Tires will be worn out before they have a chance to rot!!
  3. Here we go again!!! Move over Gary, you are always hogging the good seats!! Never mind I spotted a 2nd Gen going past the house and grabbed the rear seat. Wonder how long it will take him to miss it???
  4. WRONG? :think:WRONG? I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken!!!:rotfl: Don't know who this was but have been there had that done to me and I agree with the Boss and Owl. Takes a real big man to sling crap when he has something to hide behind. I I won't feel a bit bad if you toss that remark but some things still bite when I think of them.
  5. Glad I can still handle everything I need on my 1st Gen. I've thought about a trailer but just don't need one yet.
  6. Take apart all connections, clean them and put them back togather.
  7. Hidden behind the brass plugs below the diaphragm cover. Do you use Sea-Foam??
  8. And still missing the Venture....
  9. CASTROL 20/50. About $2.50 qt. at Wally World.
  10. How would I check for one of the advanced courses? Something to think about. I would love to take a ride with the confidence I used to have. Or was that just the stupidity of youth??
  11. Bad leg woke me last night. I spent about 1/2 hr stomping around house with it cramping up. Two big knots on it about the size of softballs. The Warden was planning trip to horsepital before I got it to relax a little. It did'n quit and is still cramping today. I think I'll lay off the leg presses a while. Had got up to a little over 400 lb with them.
  12. Thinking how to handle all that raw power coming out of a 1st Gen works the brain more than riding a Hardley wannabe...
  13. I started too small. I won't go thru what I did last year. I can frame this thing up and have M&E is necessary but pouring concrete is no fun. That will be a last resort. I can't believe how sorry the contractors around here are these days. But I got a plan!!
  14. I saw that one coming after I posted it. Thought maybe you would miss it....:bang head:
  15. 2 hrs pretty hard tonight. Added a few things but I'm constantly changing it up. Now if the Warden can take a few lbs off me....
  16. I got shook after my accident in 06 and still haven't got back to where I was. Mine had nothing to do with a curve but I was doing nothing wrong and can think of no way I could have missed it. Just keep trying.
  17. I like taking bags and trunk off. Different ride.
  18. The seal on the back of the bottle. The lower half of the circle will be enpty if it does not have friction modifiers. If you compare them side by side at store you will see. Castrol car oil does not have friction modifiers. Been using it for over 45 yrs never had a oil related problem. I use 20/50 year round.
  19. Warden claims "WE" are on a diet!!! I just don't remember her asking me...:think:must be getting old.
  20. :rotfl::rotfl:
  21. If you put that tag on the back how do you expect a 1st Gen to see it???
  22. I bought a set of Hardley Pipes and traded them off when I got another 1st Gen.....
  23. Warden was admiring...... OK making fun of my arms... Getting bigger everywhere except my bicieps!! I've done this on purpose because I don't like the real high peak on the bicieps but I guess I ignored them a little too much..... Just can't please em!!!Told her I was building a God for her. She didn't seem convinced??
  24. I got a few more ideas over the winter. One of them makes it bigger again.
  25. No place to pour it yet. Gym this evening. Going to be harder to keep up with that sunshine outside!!
