The 1st thing that comes to mind when I see Craig is there is the guy that got rid of that great looking 1st Gen!! Makes me worry about Kim!! You ain't getting rid of anything else are ya Craig.....

I just look for the best looking bike there......

1st thing "I" would do is dump a whole can of BerryMan's Chem Tech in less than a 1/2 tank and run it hard!!! Leave sit at least overnight with this mixture in it and in the carbs good before you refuel. Then reset idle screws and sync. A Color-Tune is a thing that lets you look into the cylinder while adjusting carbs to see how they are firing. From red, too rich. Blue, getting close. Real light Blue or white. Too lean. Do a search on Gunnison Color-Tune.

On 2nd thought nevermind.

Got it on a reconditioning cycle now. See what happens then try this. I just hate to give up on it.

You know the 1st Gens got antique plates? Cause all you see of a 1st Gen gives you a good view of these!!!:rotfl:

It was stored in box on bottom shelf about a foot off floor. It is possible door door was left open for a while in low temps but we don't get that much. Cleaned terminals. There was very little dust on it. It is just dead. 1 year and 7 months old. 1 yr free replacement. Never used at all.

I had it up to 6.3 volts. It dropped back to 0. I think its done.

Check the Air Box....

IF the sight glass is full it is overfull and will suck oil back up into breather box. From there it will go wherever it wants. Should only be 1/2 way up on sight glass when upright. Check air box. Bet its got oil all over inside.

Found receipt. Bought 11/11/11. Weird? Might be some warrentee left on it. Receipt got damp in bottom of box, can't tell where its from but I think Advance Auto. Anyway showing 5.3 volts this morning. Smart charger charges for a while and kicks over to FO1 which is Internal Short. I'll see what I can get it up to today and do another reconditioning cycle on it this evening. Only did about 1/2 of the reconditioning cycle the first time. Got it on small 2 amp charger today.
