  1. You mean she is planning on a second??? You told her about 2nd Gens didn't ya??:rotfl:
  2. If it is working good a good cleaning will extend the life of it but it would be good to have a set of brushes when you open it.
  3. My "Outlaw" years were between 1st wife and 3rd. Kids grew up and every family member I had invented a new lie to tell about how I was and what I was about. I didn't help this. When I heard the stories I would just walk away. I thought they were family. Then along came wife #3. I don't know how she done it but I can almost claim to be a citizen now. My kids seem to understand things a lot more and my family members that I'm talking about can KMA. I don't run with the crowd I did and hope they don't come looking. It is different for everyone but that was the road my 1st round sent me down. Lucky to be alive. I got one now that I ain't turning loose. I think she will keep me if I don't buy any more bikes!!! IT CAN BE TURNED AROUND!! Good Luck!!
  4. Good one Paul. Just take it slow and don't get in a hurry to wake it up. Its been asleep for a while. Way back in the day we got a few engines from junk yards that were locked up. Pour them full of Kerosene & used oil. These were car engines. Let them sit for a few days adding kerosene as needed. Keep them upright. Put big breaker bar on crank bolt and play with it. Usually worked pretty good. Draining them and getting them fired up was fun. Talk about smoke!!!! But it usually settled down after a while. Nothing to do with this now I don't think?? Just remembering!!
  5. All the above but I would Sea-Foam it hard when you start cranking it. Put a gallon of gas in it with about a 1/2 can of Sea-Foam. Cycle key several times to make sure carbs are full and leave sit overnight. Might crack drains to make sure carbs are getting fuel. Get them full and leave sit overnight before firing up. It will belch, cough, hack, fart, and carry on but will smooth out as it gets its breath!!Crap it belches out you sure don't need. Run that gallon thru at all different speeds. Fill up tank and add rest of can. GO RIDING!!!
  6. I did that once!! Thru Charleston, West by God. In January at 3AM. Did I say it was COLD? Wasn't hardly any traffic but for those idiots following me blowing horns and yelling trying to wake everybody up. About a 5 mile trip. Bet was a cup of coffee!! I'll bet next time stakes will be a little higher....
