  1. Hey Puc!! I am a expert at making long cords short!! :whistling:If you need some tips I can offer instructions on how to shorten them quickly!!! :stirthepot:Electric pruning shears are a great help!! Lawnmower great substitute if shears not handy...... I have a collection of short ones!!!

  3. THATS IT!!! Give Joe all the credit!! We were trying!!! It does sound like the way to go. Everything would be good and solid. :clap2:Eck's idea is also something to think about. :think:Could work if it didn't make screws unusable. Hard to replace those special screws. I guess the rest of us are just here for decoration :duck:although if you were real good with the plastic welder........ Good luck with it Randy. Good idea Joe.

  6. Cameras then weren't fast enough to get pics of them!!!! This thing has some old models I never knew. Why would anyone toss such a thing? Would love to have got it before cover was ripped off. These were the cars I learned to turn wrenches on!!! My 1st rebuild was a 1950 216 Chevy. Then there was a straight 8 Flathead Pontiac. What a sweet running engine. The old 383 Dodge. Now that was a beast!! 283 Chevy? Best engine ever produced! Right up there with the Ford 289!! I'm just loving going thru this old thing!! Most of those aren't in this book it is just stirring memories. Reminding me of tricks I had forgotten. Like to stick one of you young pups under a 61 Ford V-8 and tell you to remove the starter. About like the slave cylinder on a 1st Gen. If you don't turn it right it ain't coming out!!Took me 9 hrs in a parking lot downtown to learn that one!!
