Sounds about the same Bob. I thought 13 yr old Granddaughter was gonna whup me today. And the walking from one room to the other is a major operation. I guess this is to be expected when you move to a 2nd Gen......

I caught something a couple weeks ago. Some type of bug. Not really been sick enough to hide in bed just feeling way down there and no energy at all. Don't even feel eating as I usually. Walked past scales today and stepped on. 234 lbs!!!! What a Stud!!! Well..... Anyway I had been floating between 250-255. And I haven't been real sick just not up to par. I think it has taught me something. Eating gets to be a habit. I've been eating but I told the Warden to stop loading my plate til it was falling off the sides. I go to the kitchen as much as I used to but return empty as often as not. Cut way down on diet pop. You know water don't taste bad. Don't know where I'm going with this but I was making a effort to cut a few lbs and this "Bug" just fit right in there. A little Unlike the boss there have been times I could and just didn't. Don't know where I'm going with this but now is a good time of the year to look at our eating habits. With holidays coming up just turning down that extra might help. OK I'm going to the kitchen......

I don't even visit the Yamaha shop here any more. I do stop by the Hardley shop every chance I get just to let them know how much better I have than they do......

Prayers out for him. I spent 13 days in a coma, not induced just out around 1976. Family was told if I woke I would be no more than vegetable. And I woke looking for my bike before they could unplug me. Never say never.

I can make a mess in the garage!!!

Glad you're here to post Ted. Recovery is ROUGH. Listen to the docs even when you think you know better. I learned that one the hard way. I can still remember spots of my accident but very little. Hope you heal good.

Just give it a strong dose of SeaFoam and ride it. It will most likely come back around. Never leave them sitting without a stabilizer in them.

Yep!!:rotfl: One of the reasons I ride a Yammy is parts can be found here and there.

I loaned out my good spare about 4 yrs ago and haven't seen it since. If you could find someone close you could probally swap to see if this is problem. If I were closer it could be done in a short time. Spend the 12 bucks and I'll bet it is the best investment you make on that bike.

I know that Eddie. That idiot did tic me off. I had stopped to look at a trike they had on the floor. He started by telling me that trike was more than I was used to handling. When I pulled my wallet he couldn't back up fast enough. And with the V-Rod sitting there I was taking a chance. But I got this problem keeping my mouth shut......

I was on the 2nd Gen. And it wasn't about the bike just stupid A** with no idea what he was talking about.

This reads like a trip to my local Hardley shop. I was told anything on the floor could take my Riceburner. Didn't even know that word still existed!! Couldn't get him to back it up. That V-Rod could probally do it IF HE could ride.....

I would put on centerstand with a block of wood or piece of rubber matt under each wheel, keep the tank full with the treatment for ethanol gas and try to start it when you could. When you start it let it warm up to operating temps and try switches to lights and such. When you walk past it work the controls a little. Foot and handle bar brakes and clutch and roll throttle to avoid frozen things when you start to wake it. And tell him and his family thanks. I think this is as hard for the family as those that do this great service for us.
