Sleeping bag and canvas made a great backrest til you found something a little warmer to fill that back seat then you just moved the gear to the back of the Sissy Bar!!
I got mad at them one morning took them out of my pocket and threw them away. Not saying I didn't want them but when I made up my mind it wasn't that hard. Story being I was a track star in high school. Did a mile in 4 min. 30 sec. in 1967. Could run forever!! Started smoking that summer because of the Idiots I was running with. Didn't make Track Team next year. 20 yrs later I was going squirell hunting and wanted to be on top of the ridge by daylight. Went down on my knees trying to go. While I was on my knees I took a cigarette out and stuck it in my mouth. Said to myself "That's what put you here you stupid S.O.B." Took them out and threw them away. DONE!!
I cain't go by the Hardley shop without stopping to drool over them. But then I see all those torn down in their shop and I remember sitting beside the road waiting for someone to come get me. I forgot!!! Congrats on the new ride!! Its not about WHAT you ride. Hope you get a lot of miles out of it.
I had about 6 grandkids and 3 kids 3 in laws and the Warden to put up with today, Pitched 20 games of really boring horseshoes. Won 10 boring games. Looked at a bunch of the Son in Laws boring guns. Watched a bunch of boring fireworks.
Another year??? Yeah hooked ain't ya?? The good thing is you will have plenty of company!! I know I'm hooked!! 12 bucks would buy me a couple Burgers!!!
hdroyer is the dude that scatted with my TCI. I do remember him and how gratefull he was.... Bike really purred and wasn't a bad looking 83. Just with all his lip it really burns me. I don't miss that bad very often.
Just be carefull installing them and don't snap one of those little bolts. Only about 7 lb or something like that. And if ya really want to make a difference add a washer to each bolt to increase pressure.
