Allright, since my rivcos don't work, just ordered the Stebel. $45.shipped. Now I guess I need to look for Carbon 1's mount???
-
Ok, my Rivco air horns quit? Press the button, sounds like its farting? Can't find a hose leak. Can the diaphram go bad? Is it worth repairing or replace with one of the other horns that have been of recent discusion here?

Major kudos to Garmin! In Oct. bought a refurb. Garmin Streetpilot 2720 off the web. Had one year factory warranty. Been using it off and on in the cage. Friday after work, I decided to mount the GPS it permantly and hardwire it in. (Bought mount and used directions I got from the good folks here!) Long story short, after finishing it all, hooked it up only to find out the power connector on the back of the unit broke. Damn, only two weeks to Bike Week. Friday I called and they're tech support was only open to 6pm EDT. Damn Damn! Sent an e-mail, hoping to hear back by Monday. By Friday night at 9p, I recieved a return e-mail about a return authorization! Mailed it Sat. morning, Garmin got it Monday Morning, and got it back today!!!They didn't repair it, just replaced the WHOLE unit. Even copied the data from mine to the new unit! Itd soo nice to do business with a company that does its best to please its customers! Hoping if anyone is on the fence about buying one, I would wholeheartily recommend Garmin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, looks as if I missed yet another good one.......................

Well thats great then, because my Streetpilot, already has all Yammer dealers POI in a GPX file, so I could load this. Thanks! Not to mention it would give door to door directions to fellow members! As far as unmentionables, once they get past the mutt, then 2 Great Danes, they gotta deal with either the .40 Glock, .223 Ar15 or even possibly the wife..................................

Thanks al, now Dray, that interesting, because when I pulled my plugs, all were fine except #1 which was slightly wet. All the others appeared normal, tan, dry, not badly corroded. wonder if that might help, running a hotter plug in that cylnder?
-
Well, as it turn out, I searched NGK's site. The plugs that the book calls for are the DPR7, the DPR8 is a hotter plug. Previous owner must have put them in. Just wonder what the performance difference is between and 8 and a 7? Does one range hotter improve anything?
-
Thanks, but I guess I'm asking, is it bad enough I need to take them back or can I run them till my next change?
-
Well, damn. Had my tank off so that I could run the GPS wire under it and decided that I had 47k on the bike, figured I'd change plugs. Took out an old one, #2, was an NGK DPR8EIX9 Irridium. Hmmmmmmmmm..... Wonder when these were put in? They looked ok, not really burnt, but what the hey, go to the parts store, they don't have them i stock but can get them by the morning. Kewl, I order. Picked up this morning, read a few posts here, anti-sieze, grease for the caps, man, what a deal! Finish for the night, get out my log to write down al I did and as I am coping the numers, DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plug numbers are different? Does anyone know wha the difference in an; NGK DPR8EIX9 and an NGK DPR7EIX9 is????????????????? I've already got them gapped and installed..................................

For the right price, I'd be in!

What a straight up guy! Been lurking into getting my cars sync'd. He chimed in and voluntered to help me. He lives in Huntsville, I live in Bremen, about 200 miles. Plans were too meet half way in Gadson and he'd show me the ropes at the local stealer. Well, rain and cold, changed the plans, he just simply volunteered to come all the way to my house on his off day just to show me how to sync the carbs!!!!!!!! Showed up with printed directions on the Carbtune and all! WOW! Showed me how to do it and made sure I was clear. got it down pretty close,! and then we just went over some othe minor details about the RSV that I wasn't familiar with. What a wealth on knowledge!!!!!! Great guy! Hopefully now I can help othe with what he's taught me! Thanks so much Eck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris

Mine is the Garmin Streetpilot 2720, no battery, so it has to be hot or lose its trip data?
-
Yes, it does, but that outlet is only hot when the key is on, was hoping to have the GPS hot so that I could manipulate the GPS without the bike running? I was thinking that if on a trip, and refueling, that would reset the GPS?
-
Any reason that I couldn't simply but a SAE hitch plug and plug it into the pigtail I have off of my battery for my battery tender?
-
Major Cudo's!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to the info about Cyclegadgets.com!!!!!!!! I called them, very knowledgable, orrdered and were shipped in three days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bolted right on, love the Ramm mount! Now I guess the only question is to where I will wire it up? If I can run the cable under the tank, I guess right to the battery terminals so its always hot? thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Kewl, thanks for the info, I guess I need to make a few calls...................
-
thanks! I'll think iI'll stick with the ram, hell, only spent 319.00 for the GPS.....................Do you hard wire it in?

Thanks Dragon, actually my daughter was in Newnan last night. Her high school had a game down there. We have a pretty good riding group here. Newnan is about 40 minutes south of me down 27. Not really a bad ride. We'll have to get together one weekend. Gonna be tied up next few weeks, the 9th is a ride for the Battered womans shelter here in Carroll County. The 16 is the Shelby Ride put on by the Iron Pigs MC for fallen police officers and firefighters, then wife and I are heading to Disney for 10 days, then of course Biketoberfest. Maybe on a Fri night we can meet somewhere for a meet and eat? Ride safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. As a new member, I have felt more than welcome in the few questions that I have had to ask. I was introduced to Ventures and this site by a member, (brad from Co) and since buying my RSV, have been more than pleased with it. I am getting ready to do some of my own work and after reading the posts here, feel more than confident that if I need tech. advice, there will more than a few here that will gladly come to my rescue. I see that there is a VR assistance program on my opening page that I am supposed to join, and I guess I'll have to find out more, but as I am not too tech. savey about the RSV yet.(However, I do know a little more about older HD's as I have a 1981 FLHS) But the home front is always available for someone is is brokedown, needs to get outa the rain or needs a cold drink and a rest! Hopefully I can start to meet some of the great folks that are one this board at some rides and events and make even more friends as one can never have enough. Loking forward to riding with ya'all............................................
