I can turn the shaft when in neutral, but can’t when in gear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The shaft is back in the u-joint Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the left side cover off, and the large nut, i can move and the u-joint moves , but cant move the nut with my hand when in gear

I'm now getting to work on my 86 royale. i have a problem when i put the bike while running in gear there is a noise , a chatter from the drive shaft area, and no forward movement. I have taken the drive shaft off and i dont seam to any probem with it. Please help me with my next step

Hello all, i"m old but newly paid member, I just picked up a 1986 royal, still running my 1986 venture standard. I was told the transmission was pouched maybe why i thought i was getting a deal. Where do I start to try and fix this problem. The bike starts , but went to engage clutch and put into first gear, there is a grinding noise, the last owner had the clutch replaced two months ago. I guess that's the first post for me, and more to follow. Andrew
