    Thanks for the help getting my VR running again. It was my ignition, took it apart & the contact plate was bent. I straightened it & put back in it RUNS:fatsmiley: thanks Al

    thanks,when I used it I did not think about it being a conductor , but I mentioned it to my wife this am. That's why I asked. I didn't have any problems with spark untill about 2 weeks after I used it. thank you for you're help! Al

    how do I clean conection at key switch? I'm having problems with no spark on back plugs. I read in one forum possile low voltage from key switch,I've already checked ohms on pickup coils & ignition coils. I had a problem with my key, (I could not turn it) so I used black carbon lube in ignition. Could that cause a problem? thanks Al

    No but ohms tested good. what I thought was strange was no spark at all on rear plugs.

    My 86vr was running good. On my way home from work.it started acting like running out of gas ,with some backfiring.I checked ohms on pickup coils & ignition coils there OK.But no spark to back 2 plugs.Any ideas would be helpfull.

    My 1986 vr started running rough,felt like running out of gas, with some backfiring. Checked ohms (pickup coils & ignition coils) there OK. Running on front 2 cyls. Any ideas?

    I just bought a new battery , but it's sealed (no vent , no hole for bikes plug in top for computer ? ) I tried to unplug probe (wire ahead of probe) still shows bat. on screen. Is there any easy fix? Or do I need to buy different bat. ? thanks Al

    I have a 2004 silverado,& the dealer replaced for FREE. Also I didn't buy it from them! Check with one , they changed mine last year.
