    If you set the dog house on it you don't need an alarm. No I don't know why but I just had the thought and it woulndn't go away. The single wheel looks ready to carve the curves.

    Thanks stormin54 I hope to get a comparison after your trip. I bought my bike used with no windshield ( he said he got caught in the rain & couldn't see & "thew it away" ) after hearing this I went with the factory shorter wider sheild but have nothing to compare it to .

    Sounds like I may not be the only one who goes 1st 2nd shift,sht OD to save my license ! If I ever get the carb tune I might miss that half second delay that gives me time to focus on hanging on , hmm those 2 sentences are a sure cause for my poor mileage. I think the tune is in my near future.

    Because I don't own a trailer I really wouldn't want to offend anyone with one as I'm not above asking for help if needed but wouldn't want ask with a belly full of crow . Hope to never need one but if I was far from home it wouldn't do me alot of good sitting in my yard . I think everyone knows someone who has gone to bike week & never took the bike off the trailer (in good weather & health) & that is probaly what puzzles .

    I ride with a full face helmet . Does the rain on the windshield & on the visor make it more difficult to see than say a short windshield you can see over ?

    Thanks for posting pics of the bike without the models , I was having trouble focusing. Really you would think wearing black with all that red they would hardly be noticed.

    Thanks Big Boy I put new brakes and tires on at the same time and was concerned because the rear seemed to lock up easier . Had been thinking about brakes without considering tire grip . Just reading your post pointed out my brain fart. Not ready for a car tire as my confidence in my slow speed turning still isn't what it should be . No parking lot is to big for a newby on a Venture.

    I would like to upgrade my rear speakers(probaly blown) but only if i'm going to hear the difference, I don't have the budget to do it twice . I've seen mixed reveiws on Polk, are their any other choices? Would any "outdoor" speaker the right size stand up to the wind / rain ? Don't want to try a cheap fix just to have to do it again. I'd rather not have speakers in my helmet so for now I just leave the radio off.

    Checked my 2 favorite online sites for gear leatherup.com had a Hawk bluetooth for 229.00 but I can't recomend Hawk (tried one on & the lining was as hard as a brick) sent it back ,bought a Shark RSX ( non-bluetooth ) from Motorcyclecloseouts.com retail $470 closeout $150 .Build date was sept 07 but gotta luv the discount ! Sorry don't know how to post links yet . Spend less on gear & put the savings in the tank.

    If only you had done it on the way to maintenance day ! OK so maybe even Freebird has a white flag deep in his toolbox . "If you can't miss 'em hit 'em square " MC Instructer Skip . Should try to sqeeze a couple of new helmets into the claim I'm sure they hit , it wouldn't hurt to try.

    Put me down for a set , Looks like you will be safe to buy 2 sheets soon . "if you build it they will come" I was riding under an overpass when my left deflecter hit me in the leg at first I thought someone tossed a plastic bottle or something overthe side . Seems the left ones go first . These might just shame me into finaly polishing the rest of the crome , we'll see. I work in a steel plant with a C.N.C. burner , but to get it programed in and get the material I'd have to go UP FRONT & talk (bribe) to people I try not to talk to. Thanks for saving me the headache . Be ready for more orders when these hit the street.

    I missed out on one heck of a deal on a Harley before finding my venture . Booked for 12k was for sell for 8k finaly just wanted payoff 4K! I was the second caller . Found my bike a couple of weeks later at a good price , it was what I wanted to start with but would have loved seeing my brothers face when I doubled my money on the Harley & upgraded to my Venture .

    Somebody please give this bike a good home b4 juggalo puts her down he sounds desperate enough to do it. My Venture already has to sleep outside and barely gets fed enough as it is . I think he should enter the Raffle nobody could disaprove of a 1st gen fer 10 bucks

    I see I'm late , would like to let everyone else know I found great helmet deals on motorcyclecloseouts.com SHARK HJC BELL & more . I just received my SHARK RSX retail $480 closeout $150 , build date was Sept. 07 but I think it's a steal ! (I tried it on at a local store first ) Hope everyone doesn't miss the post now that Sunman has his lid . New member 1st post & no I don't work for the website but if you mention Terry Scearce sent you maybe I can angle for a discount next order (always want something) . Slow hand isn't a Clapton reference but a typing one (hard to ramble with hunt & peck). I've been reading threads for a couple of weeks & was going to wait to get a camera but for now I'll live with PICTURES reply to any relevant post .
