We did one about 10 yrs ago but I'll be darned how we did it. I remember we got the pig split and didn't go with rotating it because the hardest part is getting it right on the spit. I think it would be worth everyone kicking in to have someone else do it, probably 15-20 a head minimum, but it's your call boss. PS I have no problem helping with the grilling like last year.

My opinion, let them keep it. Unless the emotional attachment is too much.

7 mill would ONLY get you a decent house on 2 or 3 acres not far from me in the Hamptons, maybe within a mile or so of the water.

Just finished my 22nd year of around the clock patrol. As of 1/1/08, I chose to go to a new squad that only works days and 4-12s, no more midnights!! It's a whole new job. Might just stick around for another 10 since I still love this stupid job. Also a member of BK NY 15

Nope........we'll be coming from 'the East'. Leaving Thursday PM, trying to get past the silly atuff in NY and staying somewhere along 80 in Pa. Not sure where yet, we'll stop when we feel like it. Should be at the Oberlin Inn early Fri PM. Finally got the 05 out of the shed (it was blocked in by construction stuff) gonna start pulling it apart for cleaning and oil change. Late start to the season with all the work being done around here. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!!

Good to hear from you Falco. Sorry about the health issues. As for taking a step back for a while, that's sometimes the smart thing to do.

Congrats on your son making it to an honorable profession. You have every right to be proud of him. If somehow he gets stationed on Long Island, send me his number. I'll be more than happy to help a fellow LEO get acclimated to a 'strange land'.

YOU didn't....silly donut comments and 'don't they have anything better to do' comments did....

definitely the backrest, I LOVE my Utopia. Levelling links and driving lights are a good idea too. Luggage rack and the rear wing are noce touches. Then whatever suits your fancy. Enjoy

Bob, I'm not sure waiting that long is a good idea. As for and permanent effects, I know many paople who have lost toes, with little or no ill effects. The biggest thing is how long it takes you to heal. I would surely discuss this matter in depth with my doctor and family to see if I couldn't get it done sooner. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck in whatever you decide. Vin

well............weather finally came around for a few days, but we have MAJOR renovations going on in the yard, and the 05 is buried in the shed. Main project this year was to get the outside of the house painted, but first, the carpenter had to change any rotten trim we could find. Then we decided to remove a door that we never use and replace it with a window...still no biggie. Then, a few weeks ago, I went out beck to find one of the retaining walls around my pool had let go so in came the mason, he recommended removing ALL of the retaining walls (cement and brick) and putting in new ones. So since we were doing this, we decided to connect the patio to the pool deck so it was one straight walk (jobs getting bigger huh?).....since we're doing all the work, decided to change all the lines to and from the filter so we wont have to worry about leaks. Then it was decided to change the liner etc etc. SO.........looks like I won't be riding for a few weeks. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh

Not sure about other states but in NY, the bikes in the showroom can't have oil or gas in them. Demo rides are non existent. Took a chance when I bought my 05, first ride was the day I picked it up. In Tenn. last year, we happened to stop in a HD dealership and I was able to not only sit on the bikes, they were all oiled and gassed and I was able to run them INSIDE THE SHOWROOM! And I was able to test ride any bike I wanted to.
