I had ordered the same volt meter but when I got it I didn't think it would be waterproof so I returned it. Have you had any problems with water getting in? How did you mount it to the bar?

How do you paste a quote?

Brother! I knew it was going to be simple, but not that simple! I guess I had never noticed. I hope I ride better than I read! Thanks.- 13 replies

The "quote" is one of the great features of this forum, because it shows exactly what the writer is referring to. I figured it was just a matter of copy/paste but it doesn't seem to work that way. I searched but came up empty. What is the trick? Please explain. Thanks

Threads that grow and grow
Silveryder replied to Silveryder's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
I just don't get in here as often as I should. Wouldn't you know that I found an example for you. I think it was your thread. Let us know what you find. The first page is so wide I have to swing the screen back and forth to see the whole thing. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6365 -
Threads that grow and grow
Silveryder replied to Silveryder's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
Wouldn't you know...It's like wanting the dealer to hear the chirping sound when it just won't do it. I can't find one now but if it happens again I will let you know. It is more of a problem than what the resolution would creat and resolution wouldn't change by itself. The changes grow to at least double the size of normal and the font size looks the same. -
Thanks. I will probably need to do the same. Stylin on the trunk rack and for those rare occasions when more is needed...load 'er up.

Most of the threads fit my window just fine but once and a while I will be reading along and all of a sudden a post (or is it a thread?) grows to about twice the normal width. This isn't a real show-stopper but it caused me to have to drag back and forth for each line. Us RSV'rs are into things going smooth and easy. Am I doing something to cause this phenomenon?

And the Star logo makes it right? I found one without the star for about $15 less, but I think I would have to have it! Thanks.

I like that. Where can I find one of those? Is it the same one that Diamond R offers. http://diamondraccessories.com/saddlemate/proddisplay.php?name=Saddlemate

I had seen one for a Gold Wing that goes in the seat. It looks like it would give some extra space since my sweetheart can't go on the long trips. http://www.imotorcyclestore.com/cgi-bin/dpsmart/products.html?L+ims+khan0369+_DCatNum_02S11NELGOR_01PageType_02L_01

I have one and a Shoei RF1000 (I think?) but I never wear the Shoei anymore. I have dropped it and scuffed it and even broken one of the hinges. That was easy to replace. I bought a smoked screen too so it is like wearing shades all the time.

I plan to take a long ride to the mountains next month so I will need to pack more than the RSV luggage will hold. What are the best options for a passenger seat bag and/or a trunk rack bag? I want something I can stuff full of clothes and extra gear, keep dry in the rain, and not have me kicking myself because I should have gone a step up. Please include pictures and websites if possible. And in case you were tempted to say so, a trailer is out of the question right now. With 3 bikes and no cars in the garage I don't want to push for more right now. Thanks.

Thank you for posting this again. When you moved the washer, did you just slip it on the bottom side of the lock ring or did you slide it up the needle on the other side of the teflon thing? Also, did you have any trouble lining up the diaphragm to go back into the slots? Mine seem to be kind of stretched out and don't want to just pop back into the groove like I've seen on other bikes. I found that a previous owner or mechanic closed one back up a little too carelessly and smashed the edge of the diaphragm with the cover.
