Get a lawyer and send her away. She is ruining your credit and causing trouble with the IRS and you are going to find yourself between the dog and the fire hydrant.

I have been watching my gas milage very close over the past few weeks because I am putting the MotorKote in the oil this week. With two up and 70 on the highway I have been getting 42 MPG. Last week I was in a hurry to get somewhere and I averaged 78 MPH according to my GPS. On that trip with one up I got 38 MPG. I would not have thought a small increase in overall speed would make that much of a difference, but it seems like it does.

Well Bob...Here's hoping for a quick recovery and as little pain as possible! I know the pain of a busted rib, been there, done that, didn't even get a tee shirt. I bet that water was there long enough to grow a layer of moss just below the surface, and that can be as slick as ice! We get moss on the roads alot here in the PNW especially in the spring and early summer.

Gonna be tough telling pilots where to go! Tossing the flight progress strips around is gonna hurt too! Hope you heal up real quick.

Just returned from WARiders house (Sean). What an awesome individual! I learned how to synch the carbs on my RSTD and it makes a super difference. The bike runs smoother, mid to high RPM is like glass and I didn't notice the customary "pop" when I shifted gears. Not only did I return to my house with a better running motorcycle I made a new friend as well. Thanks a million Sean for showing me how easy this procedure really is. Now to try and squeeze in some rides before the good weather leaves the PNW. :clap2::thumbsup2:

Sometimes a "bot" will not allow you to sign on as an administrator, and not every anti-virus program will detect bots. Go to Trend Micro and download "R U Botted" It's free and will detect any bots on your computer. If one is detected you can then use Trend Micros "House Call" also free, to remove the bot.

The state of Washington had cement barriers in the medians on I-5 for years. Then they went to cable barriers. Recently because of the numbers of vehicles that blew thru those cable barriers and entered opposite direction the state has decided to go back to cement barriers. Why is WSDOT installing concrete median barrier along northbound I-5 in Marysville? In July 2007, WSDOT, the Washington State Patrol and independent experts completed a detailed review of statewide cable median barrier and cross-median collisions on I-5 in Marysville at the request of Governor Gregoire. The report noted a higher-than-average number of crossover collisions on I-5 in Marysville, for reasons not completely understood by safety specialists. As a result, the report recommended installing concrete barrier along northbound I-5 in Marysville to provide the highest possible level of protection against southbound drivers crossing the median and entering northbound lanes. Though concrete barrier will lower the risk that southbound drivers will cross into the northbound lanes, it will create a new risk to northbound drivers. Concrete barrier will increase the risk that drivers who run off the freeway will rebound off of the barrier into other vehicles. Drivers who hit the concrete barrier will also experience a significantly higher force of impact than those who hit cable median barrier. The End Result We will improve driver safety along this stretch of I-5 in Marysville by installing concrete barrier along the northbound lanes and widening the shoulders to current standards. We will also remove existing earth mounds at the base of bridge columns in the project area and replace them with barrier. Drivers will also benefit from new electronic message signs, traffic cameras, and traffic sensors along I-5 in Marysville. Maybe your state needs to review this report. http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/CableBarrier/Report2007.htm

This MIGHT help. Download the latest version of Firefox. After it's downloaded one of the screens will ask if you want to import your IE favorites. Click YES. It should, no guarentee, import everything to Firefox from Internet Exploder.

This is from their web site: MOTORKOTE can also be added to your pumpkins (differentials), transmission and power steering. MOTORKOTE contains no solids like Teflon, molybdenum or graphite and contains no chlorine. MOTORKOTE does not void manufacture warranties. "two important bits of information are, will it hurt my motor, transmission, or clutch, and second, does it provide a measurable benefit." So far indications are it will NOT hurt anything. One member received an email stating that it will not affect wet clutches. As far as providing measurable benefits: That's why several of us are going to try it with real world conditions. Keep checking back.

Lilbeaver your right about an old thread, but it's great to revive them on occassion just to see the new folks (like me) be able to add our input. My first bike was a 1966 Honda CB 160. I paid $200 for it in 1969 and I bought it from my English teacher at Laughbon High School in DuPont Washington. I loved that bike! Got rid of the 50 pound mufflers that came with it and found you could use vacuum cleaner pipes as a slip on with a muffler clamp! I added knobby tires front and rear and a BIG sprocket to the rear. Top speed was about 50 mph but you could climb a tree with it. The bike never saw the road, it was a trail bike only. After moving back to Maine I sold it to some kid in town and got a Maico 501. The kid I sold the bike to crashed it about 6 months later and wrapped it around a tree. He ended up with a broken leg and the last time I checked (2007) parts of the bike were still at the crash site in the woods.

Just got an email from their customer service rep Julie at Motorkote. FEDEX damaged the package and it's being sent back to Motorkote. They are sending a new order today and hopefully I'll get it soon. So far it seems that their customer service folks at Motorkote are better than most. As soon as I get the product and put about 500 - 750 miles on the bike I'll post a report.

Try this one...cheap and easy. Gel seats can cost close to $200, but if you stop at a tack shop take a look at the gel seat cushions made for a saddle. So far it has worked for me and it only cost $30. It stays put as long as your on it and when you get off it's easy to toss in the side bags.

You got yourself a deal! I'll shoot you an email and set something up. :thumbsup2::clap2: BTW: I live on Camano, work in Arlington (Angel Of The Winds Casino)

Peggy, You were the first person to welcome me to the site, the first person to say really good things about my ride, the first to ask lots of questions in the chat room about my job. I enjoy your input, suggestions, and pictures. Don't stop posting....Please. Besides if Ruffy posts naked pictures of himself, many of us may go blind if we accidently see the pictures and we may never be able to ride motorcycles again, it's bad enough that some of us have been emotionally scarred by the thought of those pictures.

I ordered mine, but I guess the package leaked..Fedex tracking says "Delivery Exception" scheduled for delivery tomorrow (18 Aug). But if and when it gets here I will answer those questions.

Prayers...Locked...Loaded...Sent! Hang in there Curtis, you will be fine. I'm a survivor of colon cancer at age 34, now 53 and no signs of it!

Now that the light problem is solved. I'm buying a carb tune from Skagit Power Sports....Who wants to show me how to use it AND lives within 100 miles of Camano Island?

Thanks Sean! I checked the mom and pop place on Camano, Napa in Stanwood, Car Quest in Stanwood, Schucks in Stanwood, and Wally world in Burlington. Lots of 55 and 100 watt available, but 35 watt was sold out everywhere. I'll check at wally world in Marysville the next time I head that way. My girlfriend works at Fred Meyer so I'll check there as well. "Hey what's on your list today?" Ya just never know! Larry

Replacement Driving Lights
silverdeer0454 replied to jpalese's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had an issue finding 35 watt H3 lights for my 05 RSTD, plenty of 55 and 100 watt available in this area but not the 35 watt(even at wally world, sold out, more on order) and this is part of the answer I got from LilBeaver. It may be the item your looking for, hopefully this helps. A Wagner 4449 is a 30W sealed beam replacement for that (EDIT: At least this is what I use and from what I can tell they are identical to what my yamaha dealer wanted $60 each (sold in pairs of course)). (The autoparts store I got mine from had to order them... Fortunately one of the distribution centers is on the other side of town so I got it in about 45 minutes). -
Thanks for the info Rick. The passing lights are on the headlight circuit, so it looks like I will stick to the 35 watt bulbs. Just need to search more auto parts stores around here. I was told by more than one place that the 35 watt bulbs are popular with the ATV crowd and thats why they sell out so quick.
