  1. I am currently running with a Show Chrome short wide windscreen. I love it but passenger buffeting is a bit of a drag. So I am looking to buy, trade for, whatever it takes to get an RSV stock or Clearview XL or XXL windscreen. Got to keep the passenger happy. . Pm me or call 636-485-9613. Thanks!
  2. :clap2:Ditto that!
  3. First off, thanks to Bill and Linda for a great time! Thanks to all of our old and new friends that showed up! Posted about 120 pics to the photobucket acct. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/St%20Charles%20M%20and%20E%202009/
  4. Kenny, that's terrible news! Hope you heal quickly. I was out of riding for four months last year with my knee/foot injury, you better be back sooner than that. Glad we got to spend a minute or two with you old friend!
  5. Smoked for 30 years or so. Quit in 2006 and started back up after Debbie Passed. I have a new life now and quit for good on April 1st this year. It's not easy but the long term benefits and money saved are worth it.
  6. Your Bridgeton, Mo choice is right next to the airport. If you travel about 5-10 miles west you get to St Charles, a better area, with probably as cheap or cheaper rates. Depending on your travel dates, you can even catch up with Snarley Bill or myself for a guided tour!
  7. I just place a standard sized brick under the side stand and the bike is upright. Do that when changing the oil too.
  8. HA HA, I think that just depends on what she's bringing! We know a professional when we see one!
  9. Try their bacon cheeseburger pizza. It's good enough to start eating there on a regular basis!
  10. Yeah, you know I can't live with only one bike. Decided I needed another play bike so I got an 883 custom just for fun. Now I have the real harley vibration and noise and whatever else is supposed to go with that "legend" stuff. It's fun but as I tell everybody;" it's sure no Yamaha"
  11. Cindy, you can take out my sportster and show us all what a REAL biker babe is all about! Really, you can use it if you feel like it. Hope you guys can make it, I enjoy every visit we get together.
  12. Hey Mel, We are even crazier in person But we are sure a lovable bunch (even Cinderella) Love ya Sweetie!
  13. St. Charles meet? What the heck are you talking about? I haven't heard anything at all about this!!! How is that possible? You keeping secrets or something? OK maybe I have heard a mention or two. Dee and I will be there, no worries. I even took a vacation day so you can enjoy my company the entire time. Just stock up on the food !
  14. Bill, I don't have time, money or space either but I'm willing to let you park it over here!
  15. Seems to be a good price. I got my '04 in '06 with about 25K on it for a little bit more than that. I was worried about the noise issues too but I haven't noticed a thing. I LOVE MY VENTURE!
  16. Hey Bill, Dee and I will be leaving sometime that Thursday afternoon. I don't get off work till 5am so I will need my beauty sleep . Not exactly sure what time we will leave or how far we will go that day. Plan on staying at the Motel 6 Friday and Saturday night. Head home Sunday and Monday. Make an adventure out of it.
  17. I had 154,000 miles on my 1990 when I sold it. Still ran great. MPG 28-38 depending on wrist position.
  18. Hey Henry, Bummer about your riding planes but good to get out of the flatlands for a change! Hope you guys have a great time!
  19. Bill I would love to go but don't get off work until 5am. Now if you had a noon or 1pm ride...well that would be an option:cool10:
  20. LA has family in Springfield and frequently comes through there, hits St Louis and then is off for parts unknown. I'm another one that is happy to say he is my friend. A nicer guy you will not meet.

Very biker friendly with a separate parking lot for bikes. indoor and outside areas for eating/drinking. Food is ordered first come first served so it may be a while standing in line but it's worth it. $.99 1/2 pound burgers, $.29 cold boiled shrimp, pork kabobs, Big Elwood on a Stick...so much more. Ice cold beer and mixed drinks. Great atmosphere as well. Take a ride along the Great river road and enjoy the sights.
  23. Hey Bill, finally got mine done and paid for! GPS is ready
  24. Don't know if it was the "best" bike I had but it did so many things so well. 1994 Honda Pacific Coast. 800cc V-twin, Shaft drive, fully enclosed "trunk" light enough to go quick and fast enough for me. Handeled well. Good mileage and just a fun bike. That's the one I wish I still had. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Pacific_Coast
  25. Well you can always look here, http://www.roadfood.com/ to check out an area. Helps me in a new section of the country.
