You all are so great. I'm going to treasure your kind words and memories forever. Thanks Al for the extra pictures of her. I was always taking pics of everyone else and don't have nearly enough of the love of my life. I have some info for her services; Baue Funeral Chapel 3950 West Clay St. St Charles, Mo. 63301 ( I-70 and Cave Springs) 636-946-7811 Visitation Thursday March 1, 5-8pm Service Friday March 2, 2pm Funeral Saturday, March 3, 1pm at Rosewood Cemetery in Malden, Mo. Thanks everyone, you are so very dear to me. I'm truly blessed to have a family as kind and caring as this one here.

I thank you all my friends on Venturerider.org. I sit here totally numb right now, I have just lost the love of my life. Debbie passed away during the night. It was totally unexpected. I don't know what to do. I have family with me and that helps, but the loss is already so bad I can't imagine it getting worse. Many of you knew her and she was glad to know you as friends, a couple that deserve special mention are Cinderella, Jane (Boo's wife), Sweet Nothing and Linda Predock. Even if she didn't always keep in touch, she had a special place in her heart for you. I'm sure there are others but I'm kind of spacey right now. I may not respond here but know that I will be harvesting the love and care that you send our way in this time of sadness. Thanks for being here for her and me.

I have the Rivco spin-on adapter so it's a 3950. I don't know about the original yamaha filter # though.

I use Rotella Dino and Walmart filter on the 1st gen, and Rotella syn and Walmart filter on the 2nd gen. Change around 4-5 K on each.

WOW, New Enough has ladies Joe Rocket Phoenix jackets for the best price I've ever seen. I just ordered Debbie one as she likes the all mesh better than the mesh/leather that she has. It also comes with the waterproof liner too! Plus we get to donate a $1 to venturerider.org during checkout! http://www.newenough.com/ladies_joe_rocket_phoenix_3point0_jacket_page.htm

seat suggestions,please...
Wrongway replied to f6ryder's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Bill (wpredock) adapted an RSV Road Sofa seat to his RSTD. I think the mounting points are different. PM him as he can help and guide you through it if you need. Seats are certainly a personal choice. I had Corbin on my V star and loved it, then changed to a different Corbin and hated it. A backrest may help to allow you to change your position and pressure spots. -
It sure is hard losing a "family member" like that. Debbie and I have always had cats, dogs, birds and whatever Justin could find and bring home . We just lost our Cockatiel, Jake, Friday night. Had him for 6 years. Hard to believe the difference a bird can make in your life. When we got back from KC Sunday morning the first thing I said to Debbie was That we didn't hear Jake screaming for us as we pulled into the driveway. We both welled up with tears. We feel your loss.

I got a replacement stator from Dennis Kirk (I think), Ricks brand. they also have electrex (?) both quite a bit cheaper than yamaha. Replaced it myself, and if you knew me, that's saying something! Easy fix to do.

Since the first gen has such a small amount of space for mounting pegs to fit comfortably, the easiest/best (?) way to go may be the Kuryakyn pegs with the offset mounts. Pegstr has them on his 1st gen and they rotate forward enough to actually work well.

On the main page , left side menu, check out venture history. 1st gen is 83-93, 2nd gen 99-now. There is some variation and hair splitting but this is generally held to be correct

Jack, search ebay for some things, adapt other parts to fit. A few of these guys here have done lots with little!
-
Now that's a good idea and fits my price range!

They also donated three one year subscriptions for give-aways at Eureka Springs.

I have a Dowco and it has lasted 6 years without problem.

Sent you a PM! I forgot our talk at Vogel:sign29:

My 90 has a ton of add-ons, lots o' lights front and rear, hiway boards, superbrace, Rivco oil filter adapter, heated handgrips, acc. plug, cig. lighter, bottle holders, custom seat with Markland backrest and some other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting. My 04 came with some extra chrome, the part I like best is the air filter covers. They add that needed shine to the black hole in the front. I just added some Kuryaken offset pegs and a DiamondR rider backrest. That's a great looking piece and is an easy install. I also got the Yamaha-Corbin passenger backrest for Debbie. The original hit her back right at the level of her surgical scars and was just uncomfortable. The new one is higher on the back and provides her with better armrests too! Don't need anything else cause we all know that the 04 white/pearl is the best looking and you don't need to add extras to make her look good

Another one here in favor of gloves. If you go down, even at walking pace, you're likely to put your hands down. It takes a lot longer to heal rash on your hands and hurts a lot worse. Way too many nerve endings and too much movement needed as compared to your shoulder / hip or other place.

Who builds the best trike kit for the first gen?
Wrongway replied to FROG MAN's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
Get in touch with Fred Vogt, he has a real nice 1st gen trike. Sorry, I don't have his email and don't know if he has re-registered yet.
