    Am considering getting the Cobra 75 CB remote to install on the 1100. Anybody have any experieince with this unit. Would appreciate any comments, pro or con........... Thanks much.

    Have been using Seaform for years, and have never had a problem with it fouling the plugs. You will find that a lot of us here throw a full can in with a full tank of gas every two or three months. It is also a great winterizer for your fuel.

    If the judgement stands, the family can force a seizure of any church property to satisfy the jusdgement. That includes buildings, property, equipment, and anything else that is owned by the church. I would suspect that would include just about anything this family owns as they probably put it in the name of the chuirch to avoid taxes........

    We had a hunting accident reported here a couiple of days ago. A squirrel hunter using a shotgun shot a bow hunter who was on his stand up a tree. From the news reports it sounds like the squirrel hunter was sound blasting. They may charge the squirrel hunter with 2d degree criminal assault.

    When you get onto the site (and I see they have changed the site again), on the left side of the screen you will see heading bars. Recalls, File a Complaint, Complaints, etc. In the list, you will see a bar titled Service Bulletins. Click that bar and then fill in your vehicle information. If there is a TSB out there, it should be listed.

    No. You need to contact Squidly and/or Lonna directly. Not sure how many they have left. Lonna made them up a couple of years ago. I know they still have a few left as I just got two for a member and his wife a couple of weeks ago.

    Go to this site; http://www.recalls.gov/ You can look up the recalls, open investigations, and TSB's You can also review any consumer complaints which have been filed about a particular vehicle.

    Spud, While they don't specifically use the word modulate, I do believe that Sect 63: 7(b) answers your question. Attachment that affects lamps prohibited (7) No person shall drive upon a highway a motor vehicle if either or both of the lamps that are required on the front of the vehicle by subsections ( (b) have been modified by the attachment to the lamps or the motor vehicle of any device that reduces the effective area of the lenses or the intensity of the beam of the lamps. 2002, c. 18, Sched. P, s. 19 (1). The modulator works by rapid cycling of a resistor which momentarily drops the intensity of the lamp.

    I have been running a headlight modulator on all my bikes ever since they became available here in the US. Like Charlie, I find it very hard to believe that anyone could mistake a modulating headlight for a turn signal. I'm a bit outraged at the thought that the driver said she saw both the modulating headlight and what she thought was a turn signal and yet she pulled out onto the highway without waiting to verify if the motorcycle was going to make a turn. Very poor driver education in my opinion. One thing my father taught me that has stayed with me to this date. A flashing turn signal is only an indication that the light is working and has nothing to do with the driver's intent. Coming back from the store this afternoon there was a motorcycle in front of me that ran for a good half mile with his right turn signal flashing. And he never did make a right turn. If it makes any difference in this case, the traffic accident investigator can examine the turn signal lamp to see if it was illuminated at the time of the accident.

Leslie will be missed by all who's life she touched both as a teacher and as a fellow VentureRider. As a member of the VentureRiders, I also thank you for the comments concerning the VentureRiders. Too often most folks, to include the media, have the wrong impression of both motorcyclists and motorcycle groups. As you noted, for the VentureRiders, it is not a "club", but a family. The article also lead Gary and Leslie's sons to the VentureRider site and let them know how well thought of their mother and father were by the members of the VentureRider family. Again, thank you for the article. As an aside, the VentureRiders with be gathering in Kitchener, Ontario next summer. I extend to you an invitation to stop by and spend some time with us."
