As I am sure most folks know that I am "somewhat" of a Willie Nelson fan. But the other day I was introduced to a young lady doing a duet with Willie. She is, to put it mildly, IMHO a kick a$$ performer. Anyone here ever heard of a M.E. Lue Harris? Have been trying to find any albums by her, but so far no luck.

Hey, it was your choice to live in a place called Iceland. Don't be trying to make the rest of us feel bad. Besides, you get to celebrate Bolludgur and Sprengdaguar. And lets not forget Beer day.... :rotfl:

Vigilance never sleeps... BTW: Since you kept such a close watch on that crimping tool that I will now have to BUY my own. But, for the life of me, I can't remember the name/manufacturer of the tool. Thanks much buddy...

:rotfl:Like I told Don, someone needs to guard the gate....

Just want to let everyone know that I have decided to retire my old screen name. So, this is the new me. Don said I would need to tell everyone why. But then he said I couldn't. I'm just so confused....

Boy, with the way the raffle tickets are being bought up, must be a few folks out there that are looking for a new trailer. SO, if you want to get in on the early sale of the tickets, just let Cinderella know. Tickets are still only $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. And just like voting... buy early, buy often.

And another little known fact. Over 30,000 Canadians served in the US forces in Vietnam. Seven are listed on the wall. Three are still MIA, and one (from Ontario) won the Congressional Medal of Honor. It wasn't quite a one for one exchange for the draft dodgers who ran off the Canada... but came darn close. But then, with the excahnge rate back then, one Canadian fighter was worth two dodgers.

After my Garmin crapped out... and they wanted a minimum of $150.00 to service it, decided to look at a different brand name. Anyone familiar with, or currently using the Sony Nav-U 44C? I picked up one yesterday and I have a 30 day return option for a full refund if I'm not happy. I know it is not intended for use on the scoot, but that is not where I use it. SO, any experience out there with this unit? Tanks much....

Hummm. Same red clay and Pine trees. Looks like Gorden hasn't changed much since '63... Bet they are still using the old wooden barracks too. Take care buddy...

Geez, I was wondering how they got the photo of Squidley right after he sobered up and realized for how long he had enlisted... Seriously though, they look good, and for a good cause.

At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 the armistice was signed ending WWI. In my younger years (a long long time ago) we would observe 2 minutes of silence at 11:00 each November 11 to honour those who stood, and still stand in harms way. Unfortunately, that tradition has not stood the test of time and we pay our respects by searching for the best deals on Veterans Day. So, for those who may have forgotten the significants of Veterans/Armistice/Poppy Day... and to my fellow brothers/sisters in arms [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8poZshcDj8g]www.youtube.com/watch?v=8poZshcDj8g[/ame] Stand tall, stand proud Black owl Combat certified crime crusher

LOL... Phew.... When I first read the title of this thread, and saw that it was out of Iowa, I figured it was going to be another Political Thread which would be heading south. But it looks like the folks in Iowa are getting ready to stable their ponies for the winter as we are fast sliding into the PMS.. (For the newbies, that's Preventive Maintenance Season)

Well, personally I have never heard of it. May I suggest that you check with one of your local state tech colleges. From what I read on the net, it sounds like it might be one of those on-line schools.

Hi Bob, If no one has expressed an interest in the material, I have a use for it. So, if it's still available, shoot me a PM and I'll send you an address.... Thanks Russell

Regardless of one's political leanings, this election will change the face of American politics for a long time to come. So, vote your heart or vote your conscience, but out of respect for all who have stood in harms way to guarantee your right to vote, get out and vote

Switch... If I remember correctly, and my rememberer is a bit foggy this early in the morning, we at one time tried to have an area set aside for "discussions" on controversial subjects. That lasted about a week and the heated feelings developed in that area soon began to flow over into other threads. That is the problem with being passionate. It gets very hard to switch it on and off as we jump from one topic to another. As Squidly said, he and Don are very passonate about their politics. Not sure which side they are on, but if/when I want to rag on them about being wrong, I do it through E-mail or a PM. That way not everyone has to know they are wrong. Seriously though, the moderators here try very hard to respect each and everyone's opinions, and on occassion we will allow a topic that is pushing the envelope to remain open until it starts heading south. But, no sense deliberately asking for trouble.

Sounds like you are describing a Hein Gericke jacket. Possibly the Maverick. Try this link http://www.heingericke-usa.com/ Great looking jackets, but a bit pricey for a por ole boy like me.

Just received my copy of the Travelers' maps of National Scenic Byways abd All American roads. Guess what folks. Ain't none listed for Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania or New Jersey.... Hell, I didn't need an official government pamphlet to tell me that....

Not intending to hijack the thread but.... Sherry, Ran into a widow last summer. She was on a Gold Wing trike. She told me she got the trike after her hubby was killed in a MC accident. She had over 90,000 miles on the trike and she said she had covered every state (except Hawaii) and all of Canada. So, IMHO, just blow off those who tell you not to do the tike route and go for it. Then you could start getting out to the M&E's and meeting whole bunches of folks. BTW: Like your new avitar. And all I can say is that if you can't get hooked up with someone decent in your area, there has to be something definately wrong with the guys in your area. Or it's as they say. All the good ones are either already married or gay... Okay... back to your regular programming...

Never made much sense to me. But, as Will Rogers said, "Don't think I would want to belong to any group that would have me as a member." Seriously though, is there even enough interest in sub groups to go through the aggravation?
