Well Chief, now that you have nothing to do, why not jump on your scoot and join us for the Pork in the Pines Pig Roast? Aside from Bubber, the rest of the folks, well maybe not all of them are prudy nice folks to hang out with....

Geez, leave it to a navy guy to have to ask where to find pole dancers... Worse than a butter bar with a map. Just go to any Polka Festival. You will find plenty of Poles dancing.....

The modulator will work on a 1st Gen. Had one on my 86 for several years. You just need to make sure you order the correct one.

See, I told you I gave you the winning ticket, just as you asked Dan. (We can arrange the Payola later) And to all the others to who promises of getting the winning ticket may (or may not) have been made....I still say you had the winning ticket... So you will have to take it up with the drawer. Meanwhile, Congrats Dan. Hope you enjoy the trailer for many years to come...

Well, if the winners first name was Dan, and it wasn't Dano, then I know who the winner was. But will wait until Kevin make the official announcement... just in case my data is outdated.... So Brad, just cool your jets... and just buy more raffle tickets to improve your chances of winning... (Hey, he moved to Texas, so he might just fall for it)

Thanks Don. The posts in questions were exactly what we have been taking a stand against since day one. In addition to being totally inappropriate, they could have also opened the site up to legal issues for slander and deflamation if they had been allowed to stay.

An old friend sent this to me, and since I am sitting here in a pouring rain just thought I would share it with Boomer and the other vets. http://objflicks.com/MoreThanAName.htm Some things may be forgiven, but should never be forgotten.

While I am in agreement, only Don has that power. And I am sure he is on top of it.

Where is the Venture manufactured?
Black Owl replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The first letter/digit of the VIN will tell you the country of origin. However, if it not a J, then you have a real anomaly, as Yamaha only builds motorcycles in Japan. -
Shirley you jest......

Well, unless someone gets off the fence and a settlement is reached on a pending civil law suit, looks like I will be sitting around in court waiting to testify rather than joining you good folks at Potato Creek. While these things usually end up settling on the first day of trial, I still have to block off the complete 3 days just in case. Anyway, I will be sending the sold tickets, plus a couple of hundred ticket blanks to Leadwolf56. So, those of you that have not had a chance to purchase the winning ticket, or would like to purchase a few more, check with Kevin (Leadwolf56) at the park. The tickets will be sent off Friday, so you still have a couple of days to make your donations to me via PayPal if you are so inclined. But after Friday, you will needc to see Kevin at the Park. DAve, Don't pay Bubber and those other heathens any mind. They wouldn't know a good Pasti if it jumped right onto their plate. For the discriminating palate, there is/was (haven't been there in a few years) a place in Mackinaw City called the Mackinaw Pasti. If I remember correctly if is just off I-75. There are also a couple of good Mom & Pop places in Iron Mountain which put up a fairly decent Pasti. The biggest problem with Pasti's is that they don't age well. So, they need to be fresh to really savor them. Hope this helps. Black Owl... who will eat anything that stands still long enough, but does appreciate a good Pasti....

:rotfl::rotfl:Good one! Wish we could make it up there....but once again, another family wedding on a holiday! Trust someone to go low on that comment.... But, fortunately for you... we still have the Pork in the Pines coming. Are you and Gary putting that one on your calander of must do events? Sure hope to see you folks there this year.

Folks, it's getting down to the wire, and to date there have only been 18 people registered for the rally. A lot of work has gone into this by Cupcake (Damn, don't think I'll ever get used to that), Leadwolf and a lot of others to put this event together. So, if you are planning on attending, PLEASE get you registration in soon.

Just to let everyone know... I am starting to receive payments for the Rally Package and more "Donations" for the 2010 International Rally. Have been putting in 12-14 hour days here for about the past month and spending a lot of road time for work. Right now it looks like my schedule will give me at least one day at home this week end. So, will try and get receipts out to everyone. Russell

"Cupcake" and all the other former deck jockeys... Boomer, a new retiree greeter at Walmart, just couldn't seem to get to work on time. Every day he was 5, 10, sometimes 15 minutes late. But he was a good worker, really tidy, clean shaven, sharp minded and a real credit to the company and obviously demonstrating their "Older Person Friendly" policies. One day the boss was in a real quandary about how to deal with it. Finally, he called him into the office for a talk. "Boomer, I have to tell you, I like your work ethic, you do a bang on job, but your being late so often is quite bothersome." "Yes, I know boss, and I am working on it." "Well good, you are a team player. That's what I like to hear. It's odd though, your coming in late. I know you're retired from the Navy. What did they say if you came in late there?" "They said, 'Good morning, Chief. Tea or coffee this morning, sir?'"
