    Good for her. I wish her all the best. My uncle allowed me to run some of his "yachts" many years ago. But he got really picky about where he wanted me to go with them. Didn't take me very long to figure out that was not what I wanted to spend a lot of time doing.

    The coach had put together the perfect team for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The only thing that was missing was a quarterback. He had scouted all the colleges and even the US and Europian leagues he couldn't find a ringer who could ensure a Grey Cup win. Then one night while watching CNN he saw a war-zone scene in Afghanistan. In one corner of the background, he spotted a young Afghan Muslim soldier with a truly incredible arm. He threw a hand-grenade straight into a 15th story window 100 yards away. KABOOM! He threw another hand-grenade 75 yards away, right into a chimney. KA-BLOOEY! Then he threw another at a passing car going 90 mph. BULLS-EYE! "I've got to get this guy!" Coach said to himself. "He has the perfect arm!" So, he brings him to Canada and teaches him the Winnipeg version of what the Canadians call football. And the Bombers go on to win the Grey Cup. The young Afghan is hailed as the great hero of football, and when the coach asks him what he wants, all the young man wants is to call his mother. "Mom," he says into the phone, "I just won the Grey Cup!" "I don't want to talk to you, the old Muslim woman says. "You are not my son!" "I don't think you understand, Mother," the young man pleads. "I've won the greatest sporting event in Canada. I'm here among thousands of my adoring fans." "No! Let me tell you!" his mother retorts. "At this very moment, thereare gunshots all around us. The neighborhood is a pile of rubble. Your two brothers were beaten within an inch of their lives last week, and I have to keep your sister in the house so she doesn't get raped!" The old lady pauses, and then tearfully says, "I will never forgive you for making us move to the North end of Winnipeg!!"

    Not sure where Jack got his fork socks, but they look just like the one's I have been making. The ones I maker are felt lined leather and they are split with snap closure.

    Hey.... Someone had top do all the hard work.... I was taking the pictures, that's why you have none of me working.... Give me a few minutes. I'll come up with some more excuses, er, reasons ...... I was a very productive day, abd things when much faster this time thanks to Bubber and Bruce. Just a few more minor things to get cobbled up this winter and she will be ready for the guest of honor next September. So, thanks much to those who were able to make it and to those which assisted thrugh their offers of assistance and well wishs.

    Bill, It is at Gary's (Whoomp) place about 6 miles west of Laporte, MN. Only about a 3 hr run for you. All you need to bring is work gloves and some muscle and you will be good to go. Will be doing a lot of cutting and welding, so if you know how to weld you would be way ahead of Gary and I. Oops, almost forgot, bring a whole lotta raggin and you will fit in right fine. :rotfl: Hope you can make it. Always great to meet new folk.
