  1. What the heck. Might as well throw my hat in the ring. If I get lucky, I can give away the carb covers at next years Pork in the Pines. My best ever Christmas will be the one coming up. That will mean I have escaped retribution for my wild and wicked youth for another year.
  2. It's my understanding that the Chicago toy run is not a sanctioned "Toys for Tots" event....... If it is important, I can verify whether it is sanctioned.
  3. Well, I guess what they say is true. Old Venure's never die. The insurance company just hauls them away..... Sounds like you got a great deal.
  4. They do. But they are all working in Quebec... :stirthepot:
  5. Well I went and did it. Ordered this mounting kit and wired off the payment this morning. Total cost w/air freight was $260.00. Will post pics when it arrives.
  6. And it looks like there was not too much damage to the ATV.....
  7. Really not sure. This company appears to primarily produce parts and accessories for the Royal Enfield (which is now being manufactured in India). They do list the kit as being universal and can be mounted on any motorcycole with a tube frame. Here is the web site http://inderexports.com/sidecar/umk.html Maybe that will answer your question. To date they have also been very responsive to my inquiries.
  8. Just a FYI..... I am in negotiations with a company in India which manufactures a universal mounting kit for sidecars. They have quoted a price of $150.00 per kit plus air freight. I am going to purchase a sample kit to see how well they are made. If anyone else is interested we could probably do a group purchase.
  9. When I read the title to this thread, my immediate thought was, "He//, I know a lot of folks that have that problem."
  10. Or maybe they didn't think "everyone" needed retraining.
  11. Anyone busting caps in a .22 Hornet? I am looking for expended casing is anyone has, or knows someone who does, shoot the .22 Hornet. Thanks in advance.
  12. Retraining? Is that anything like Retreading? Just how many miles do they think you have left on that old carcass? Regardless, congrates on the retirement and hope you enjoy the new venture...(pun).
  13. Very nice.
  14. One of these days I'm going to remember that Minnesotans have no sense of humor. Went to the polling station yesterday. There were a few folks in line ahead of me waiting to get verified. Told the woman in front of me that I sure hope it didn't take too long as I had 4 more polling places to get to. She looked at me, and in all serousness said "You can only vote once." To which I replied, "That's not what they told me when I voted early in Chicago." The look on her priceless........
  15. Well, I'm not sure what the H... happened. I clicked like. It sent me to Hot mail and then on to FaceBook. Me and Facebook just do not get along. I hate programs which are smarter than me. (that includeds just about every one). Anyway. I clicked like again. Maybe it worked. Maybe it didn't. I don't know.....
  16. Excellent Basic Skills reminder. Thanks much for this thread.
  17. Well, not being one to rain on a parade, you might want to look at the dates you have listed for the Pork in the Pines.
  18. While your brousing around their store, see if they have an old side car kicking around that they don't want your first born for. Thinking about putting a hack on the Virago and that Ural is just about the right size.
  19. If memory serves me, I believe Bib Bob made a trailer out of a snow mobile. Wait.... here's a thought. Buy the hull, split it and make a fairing out of it.....
  20. See that the Pork in the Pines is posted. Thanks much Don.
  21. And with the number of "incidents" being reported this year, maybe it should become the theme song here as well.....
  22. Now you're starting to hit my weak spot. I was going to say that this is hitting below the belt, but I know where that would have gone..... :rotfl::rotfl:
  23. This was a bit before my time. But some of the "old times" like, Don, Bubber, Condor and a lot more probably do. http://www.stumptownblogger.com/2012/04/what-a-cool-video.html?cid=6a010536b86d36970c0163050cd62f970d Those were the days were they not...
  24. Maybe I'm a bit hard nosed on this, but, in my opinion, when you join a club (or any association) you agree to abide by the rules. Just like this site. If you don't like the rule(s) you have two options. Either work to get the rule(s) changed or move on.
  25. Absolutely. And I sure hope the wife never finds out....
