  1. Okay I got the passing lights mounted that Santa brought me as well, my hard part was getting the lights to line up, I guess I won't know if I aimed them right untill it's warm and dry enough to test on a ride. Anybody else have trouble aiming?
  2. I got new passing lights so the scoot can look as good as everybody else's here and a nice big 100 count humidor for "the boys".
  3. I'm checking the forum every morning and again at night. I'm amazed that we can get a thread going thats four pages long in only one day! Must be a lot of people to "busy" to do anything other than set in front of their computer most of the day.(Me included)
  4. :sign yeah that:And yes I learned it here!
  5. I'll think you will find that when you have a thermometer out in the wind (like I have on my Scoot) that it shows you actual temp, wind chill only affects living tissue. IMHO
  6. I do like the little shrine to his ex-girlfriend on top of his light.
  7. The wife asked me to give her a list of what I want Santa to bring me for x-mas, I would really like a set of passing lights for the scoot of my dreams that is sitting in the garage, I just can't for the life of me tell her the bracket and the lamps together cost 250 dollars. (ya know --three kids in college at the same time) Any one seen the lights and mounts cheaper any where? Ive looked on ebay and a couple stealer websites, all about the same price.
  8. Partly sunny and 65 in Illinois today, going back out again-----Yea!
  9. Yeh but that 2nd gen looked good!

    Thank You

I was never in the service, but let me to say thank you and God bless from the bottom of my heart, to those who did.
  11. Tank looks awesome! and half your bike is the perfect color.
  12. Somtimes I can't type fast enough!
  13. I think you can click the community button up on the top and a drop down menu comes up ,hit members and if you look to the left you can see all Canada and US by state. Hope that helps.
  14. I did have it up in the air about 4000 miles back when I put new tires on and checked the bearings then. I did the side to side thing and it went all the way over and started to come back so I thought it was okay. Maybe it needs to be checked again, I do agree that in the dark it seems a little ----overwhelming? when you first start out. Kinda sounds like Im afraid to ride in the dark doesn't it, haha. I know you all understand when i say that somtimes you feel like your part of the bike and you can do anything, well when its cold and dark on the first 5 miles just don't handle well. Thats about the best way I can explain it.
  15. I've got 36 in the front ,46 in the rear. Also got Dyna Beads in both, do you think the DynaBeads take a little bit to get balanced when cold?
  16. I'm wishing it was a southern bike from about now to ---oh maybe mid April.
  17. Okay is it just me or do any other riders see this too? I've been riding every day since the first of May up till maybe a week or two ago, here in Illinois it started to get down into the 30's at night and I just don't like to be cold on the thirty mile trip to work, in the dark, so Ive been taking the pickup. Now this last Saturday and again on Sunday I can't stand letting the scooter set in the garage any longer so as soon as the temp gets to about 40 outside, Im off to enjoy another ride. However the first 2 or 3 miles the black and red beauty is all over the road and handles really bad. After I get about 5 miles down the road It's back to a great handling bike again. Iv'e got 4000 miles on a new set of Avon Venom's and the pressure is right in both front and back. No air in the front forks, with about 30 lbs in the rear. Could it just be the tires are cold? (Ive got a heated garage with the temp set at 60) Any thoughts?
  18. I've been wanting to put driving lights on mine, however I think yours looks great. I just might steal your idea. Awesome job with the lights!:thumbsup2:
  19. :sign yeah that:I agree with all that been said so far. Above the half way mark on the glass and I get a drip about every day. My problem is I dont understand how I can drain the warm oil out, take the old filter off, wait about ten minutes, stand the bike up so I'm sure I got all the oil, then put in three quarts of oil and the filter, and the oil on the glass is up to the top! It's like it doesn't drain out completely.

  21. Ive got an 09 and my fuel light doesn't come on with the key. the only lights I see when I first turn the key are the oil and engine light. I Know the fuel light works it just doesn't come on with the key.
  22. Excellent choice of colors! One of the best looking 1st gen's I've seen.
  23. Hey, Thats about the best looking motorcycle I've ever seen!!!!!!!
  24. Cd changer IS standard equipment on the 09. The dealer has to install it, I had to wait to pick mine up to give him time to install the changer. Make sure you let the dealer know you want yours. (BTW, nice choice of scooter)
  25. I notice all the above complaints, but I read here about a week ago (I'm sorry i don't remember who said it) to engage the cruise and hit the accelerate button twice then let go. Works like a champ.
