  1. Inspiration Point on M22 just north of Arcadia. I watch the Chicago to Mackinac sailboat race each summer from a top this sand dune.
  2. This could be in his favor, not knowing what/how to charge. Self defense is hard to argue. Wishing you, your family the best for the new year :-)
  3. I dunno, not for me. Can't even see it back there.
  4. Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Heal well buddy. Always loved going to your place, always had a great time. Always took pictures ridin thru Cut-N-Shoot to send back to the faimly. And the BEST LaQuinta hotel is there in Cleveland and a pretty good Chinese buffet place too. We'll have to schedule a met-eat so we can see you guys, miss ya :-)
  5. Give him a call. Tell him what you need. I replaced brake and clutch lines with clear SS from him. It was like I installed power brakes on the bike. You may like it so much no need to replace calipers. just sayin :-) https://secure.ivytech.com/buckeyeperformance.com/orderform.htm
  6. Wow, well where to start? First welcome to the group. Ain't nothin nobody can't answer or fix here, you came to the right place. Oil oil oil, EVERYONE has an opinion on this subject. First, use it :-) keep it topped off, change it and the filter and your good to go. I use Rotella synthetic in all my bikes never had a problem. I change between 5-6K miles with a filter each time. Recent consumer reports state synthetic oils should go 10K but I believe they are talking about cars. However my new Honda and Triumph Trophy (motorcycle) maintenance scheduled oil changes are every 10K miles, nuff said (let the wars begin). Filters, yes there is a cross reference list in the 2nd gen maintenance section. I have heard they changed the design of the Purolator PureOne (PL14612 or the longer PL14610) and now they leak. I wouldn't know as I bought a case awhile ago and still have a bunch yet. Oil Filters: Baldwin #B4100 Napa Gold #1358 Per-Form #PFJ503 WIX #51538 Mobil1 #M1-108 Bosch #3300 , #3323 (About 64mm, doesn't quite fit oil filter wrenches) MAY NO LONGER FIT WITHOUT LEAKS! WalMart SuperTech #ST6607 or #ST7317 (Made by Champion) AC Delco #PF1237 STP #S-02876 Purolator Pure One #PL14612 MAY NO LONGER FIT WITHOUT LEAKS! Yamaha #3FV-13440-00-00 Amsoil EAOM103-EA (Black)EAOM103C-EA (Chrome) Lift/jack. Purchase the adapter on this sight. I got the one with legs so I can remove the jack. I thinks it's around $160 but well worth it. I'll have to go back and edit this post with the updates to the links. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=15&title=carbon-one-freestanding-lift-adapter&cat=15 Drive train squeak. Guess I'm lucky mine never did. If still under warranty take it back and have the dealer look at it. I caution you to have a dealer that has worked on and knows the venter. Next is it a whine? or squeak? Whine from the helical cut gears is normal, a squeak not so much. Yamaha released a Tech Exchange M2002-013 in 2002 and an update in 2008. I have it in .doc file I can send to your email Sounds like a wonderful summer trip, enjoy!
  7. Primary spontaneous pneumothorax, more common than one may think. Tall thin males more secseptable. Growing faster than the thorax pulminary connective tissue causting the lung to "fracture". Or so I've been told.
  8. I was able to mount a fused buss bar and 3 relays (horns, passing lamps, I forget the third one) under right side drivers seat. I mounted switches on the left side under the drivers seat thru the plastic backing of the seat pan to power on/off the relays (except the horn). On the left side I can reach back with my left hand and switch them on/off.
  9. The end of the box is clearly marked. Chances are if it was in a wooden frame it would of still been delibertly broken. I have received packages with tire tracks across it. They have a problem. Wheather it be union gripes, workload, work hours, whatever. I'm surprised they are still in business to be honest. If I need something to arrive unbroken I refuse to us UPS. Have had much better "luck" with USPS or FedX. I will and have canceled orders when I have found it will be shipped UPS and order from someone else that gives me shipping options. With email and "online customer service" or unanswered/returned phone calls the handwritten penned letter is still mighter than the sword. I have written several letters sent certified mail to CEO's to resolve problems. It has worked every time :-)
  10. Upon planning another spring motorcycle ride to Big Bend I stumbled on some sad news. I enjoy Big Bend and west Texas. It's wide open with vistas reaching from horizon to horizon. Folks are "Texas friendly" (afterall the name Texas is based on the Caddo Indian word tejas meaning "friends") and don't think you strange for striking up a conversation in fact think it rude if not given a "howdy" when first approached. One adorable little town Boquillas del Carmen just across the Rio Grande acquired electricity (solar power) just two years ago. What a fun place. You could either walk across the Rio Grande if it was low or hail a rowboat (for a small fee) from across the river to come and get you. Once across the river you could either walk or for another small fee ride a burro into town for about a mile. Have lunch and something to drink, visit, and maybe purchase a handmade item from a pedler on the street of dirt. Just around a bend in the river is the entrance to Boquillas canyon. On the U.S. side is a large rock on the sandy river bank which has on display a number of hand made tinkets and sotol walking sticks for a small "donation". Across the river sitting on the Mexican side was "Victor the singing Mexican". He would sing at the top of his lungs and his song would roll around and echo through the canyon walls. If you walked by the mayonnaise donation jar without donating the song would suddenly stop. I would hold out my arm ceremoniously put in a few dollars and he would continue to sing. I loved it, I enjoyed it as part of the flavor of Big Bend. And now I miss it, I miss Victor, the canyon walls miss his booming voice often louder than on key. I just learned of his passing in August this past summer.
  11. What a great post! So glad to hear from him and with the picture. And for you passing it alone. Yep miss him and Lil'bit great folks to visit with and Ponch was such a techno on these bikes. He helped me a bunch when I first got mine. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a great new year :-)
  12. Thanks for taking the pictures and sharing with us. Great to see these again and in such good shape.
  13. It's more work but put the bike back to stock and sell it yourself. Sell the options you added on ebay or even this site to get a better ROI.
  14. No I had not seen that. Cracked me up LOL
  15. Can't comment on the tires. But your bike - don't know if I've ever seen that color before. I like it - very nice.
