I know I have seen a lot of discussion on this in the past and it seems that some are fine with running a patched tire and some won't. I am not comfortable running on a patched tire. At least not longer than I would have to. It may be low risk but it is certainly high impact. I think that I would be more comfortable if I didn't ride 2-up so much; not because of the extra weight but because of the fact that if something were to happen and my passenger gets injured I would feel 110% responsible especially if it was related to that particular tire. Again, that is just me; you and anyone else can do whatever you want it is your decision, not mine.

I like to keep things neat, especially wiring; my question for others is: Where do you have your passing lamp circuit grounded? All the way back to the fuse block? battery? headlight surrounds? Thanks for the input (just curious here).

Quick thought here... If you plan on running a healthy dose of sea foam I would wait to change the plugs for a few reasons. 1) I have read that sea foam (in large quantities) can cause the plugs to foul... I don't know how valid this is, but it is a thought. 2) If it smooths out after you change the plugs and run the sea foam you will not know for sure what caused the rough running. (unless you can visually see something wrong with the plugs) BUT, plugs and sea foam sounds like a winner in terms of a place to start. I would make a note of which one came out of which cylinder too when you take them out for comparative purposes. The other thing that comes to mind is a coil issue... But I would stick with your plan and see if it smooths out. Good luck.

Hmm interesting. I sure would like to find a place by me that stocks it locally... Not that I need it that often, but it would be nice to not have to pay S&H for it...

This was my thought too, especially with the Air-cooled twin, belt drive, and the look...

I'm disappointed to see that they do not have a picture of the dash on the Stratoliner Deluxe...

This is very interesting. I found the response was very interesting too. When I started it I figured it was going to be some b.s. just defending their product, but, it seemed very well written and it was nice to see some intelligent discussion about why they felt their tests were up to snuff etc. I too would encourage everyone to go through this. Thanks for the info! -
Yikes! I'll have to say that one of my biggest fears is something crawling in my ears... Sounds like you are on the right track though! Good luck! Hope everything comes out okay!

I do not believe that Wal-mart is a Ride-On dealer. Maybe, this is a big maybe, some of their tire centers will offer to put it in for you, but I have not seen or heard that anywhere. http://www.ride-on.com/retail_store_locator.asp You have to call a number to find the store nearest you, but this may be of help. Maybe someone else will chime in with more information...

I did not see the Wagner 4449 on the list. This is what I have in mine, I do not have the specs on it offhand but when I picked up my bike there was a Yamaha one in the left spot lamp and the 4449 in the right and I couldn't tell a difference between the two. I got them for 15 a piece. Great info though kite! Thanks

This does make a lot of sense. As long as nothing dramatic happens to Yamaha between now and then...

It is an Air-cooled V-twin... I'll pass on that for sure. Maybe if I didn't live in Texas. And for that price tag, I'd go look at an American made H-D.

I finally got a response from him with a picture. At least it matches what he claimed on ebay.

If you take out the bulb, you can access the bolt/nut that tighten the housing to the bar itself. If you loosen that up you should be able to adjust them a little bit. I'm not sure this will give you the direction that you want, but as far as I know that is the only place to adjust them. It has been a while since I messed with mine though so there may be something else but that is a place to start at least. Oh, if the shop was working on them you may want to double check where the bar is mounted to the bike - make sure those bolts are tight. If they are loose the lights will point down some. Hope that helps

Weird turn signal issues
LilBeaver replied to FreezyRider's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had read a while back that someone had drilled a very small hole in the bottom of both of the front turn signal housings (after they had cleaned or replaced the turn signals due to corrosion) and after that hole was put in they have not have any problems with corrosion. -
Glad he is okay too. Hopefully he has learned something from this adventure...

Who makes the best quality slip-ons?

I saw a set of Bubs that had the chrome end caps flat-blacked and I thought it looked pretty good. They had sanded it smooth then blacked it out. It looked better than being flaked off anyways. Good luck with yours! -
The 2010 Goldwings are out too...

Hey slick - I guess today you lived up to your name

This depends on the mp3 player. If you are going to run it through the gps, you probably just put it on a memory card and stick it in the GPS. If this is the case then either would be relatively easy. If you have to use an interface cable then it will depend on which computer interfaces with the GPS better. My guess is the windows box. Windows media player is setup to sync to memory cards or things that it recognizes as mp3 players when devices get plugged into it.
