    I replaced a 40 year old unit last year. To find the best unit and installer go ask your neighbors. Walk around town and look for newer unit with a house like yours. No information on the internet can help with things like heating, sliding and roofs better than the peole the live where you do. Just knock on the door, explain what you are doing and most people will talk your ear off. Let me know if it worked for you ? Last year I did new sliding,roof,some windows and the heat pump. cb

    Cb again, somewhere on a Venture forum ( I belong to 3 Venture Forums) I saw a clock the was mounted in the right speaker housing. It was hard wired and about the same size as the gauge sets the replace the cass. player. I have seached everywhere for this clock but can not find one. I think the photo showed a white Venture with the gauge set installed and in the corner of the photo was the clock. Any info on where I can get this clock please let me know.... thank you. Cb

    Keep watching Ebay, I got a seat for $35. it did have a small rip in the front but B. Butler was able to repair and do the seat mod. Thanks for the get work B.Butler. Cb

    Cb up in Mountain home. I too want a better medthod for time. Mostly to get home before the school buses hit the back roads in the afternoon. What I did on my Wave runner was to go to Walmart and buy the cheapest, easy to use and largest dial watch and valcro it to the dash. I just have not done the Venture yet. I am also one of those that stop wearing a watch 5 years ago. If I really need to know what time it is I look a my cell phone. I just can not see the Venture clock. Cb

    I put risers on but have not had a chance to ride due to weather. If I NEED longer cables ?? Where can I get longer cables ? Thanks for any help Cb

    Hi, Cb up in Mountain Home, Ar. I installed risers and also lowered the front forks 3/4 inch. I already had the fairing off I was able to work the cables BUT the temperture droped to 20 degs. so I have not had a chance to spend much time riding and see if I have any problems. Some seem tight but I will decide after going a few miles. I also joined your Zume forum . Cb

    If you have a Ipod/MP3 player you can open the Cass. door and plug your Ipod into that little hole by the cass. player. Then change the radio remote control to AUX. Cb

    My local Lowe's and Home Depot sell metric nuts and bolts. I take a sample bolt and check. If I purchase the wrong ones I save them to see if I can use them else where. The hardware holding on the front fender chrome trim fell off so I went to L/H-D and found some nice small bolts with chrome cap nuts. I just put the bolts in backwards with the caps on the outside using BLUE locktight. I also replaced the rear axle shaft tightening bolts with a longer bolt and self-locking not. Cb

    I live up north of you in Mountain Home Arkansas were dark is very dark and the deer are everywhere. I have installed driving lights and the light bar bracket....get the bracket, it makes life easier later. Cb

    B/B was developed for cows tets when milking. It is vERY thick and stinks . Apply before bed and WEAR SOCKS. Stops that itching feeling when you are trying to go to sleep. Also works great for chapped hands... but you can't touch anything unless you wear light cotton gloves. I have used B/B for burns and cuts. Sometime hards to find... Your boots... get a few pairs of good washable inserts.... change daily and hand wash with a little blech then make sure they are dry before reuse. Cb

    I have moved into my parents house after they passed away . I was digging around the Christmas stuff and found a unopened bottle of Crown Royal stamped 1970. I am waiting for New Years Eve. Cb I also got 2 rear tires for my Boxster Porsche:nanner:

    Harbers Cycle . com (Arkansas) sells oversize mirrows for $20.00 a pair. They list on ebay. I live 15 miles away so I just drove over and made the puchase. I noticed that when I wore my leathers I really could not use the stock mirrows but the new mirrows work great. Cb

    I have a Zumo 550 and have replaced all the hardwear with longer bolts and self locking nuts. A number of members have lost units going down the road because the hardwaer came loose. Cycle gadgets .com also sells a sunshade for about $20. that works great on my bike and in my convertible. I have ordered a GoPro camera and I will replace all the hardwear as well. Cb

    Go to Ebay and get a complet used system for about $50 . Yes... you must pay for it but you will never go back to radio. 5 The biggest cost are antenna so I purchaesd complete systems with broken radio. I got all the stuff for 1/3 the cost of just an antenna. 5 or 6 different country and maybe 10 different rock stations. All my stuff is set up with wires so I just take the radio to whatever I am driving. Cost... about $10 a month (?). Cb

    The frist thing I did was change my stock bulb to a Piaa. My GMC Typhoon has had the piaas for 15 years and 120,000 miles. Never been replaced. I also replaced them in my Volvo. I just google for the lowest price. I have Yamaha Stratolines Drivimg lights on my Venture and it has 2 each 4 watt yellow Piaas and 2 each 35 watt driving bulbs. Which I leave on all the time. Cb

    So far... 3 motorcycles accidents 1966 honda Scrambler, 1 goldwing 1982 Interstate, 2006 BMW Rt1150, 3 car accidents, hit in the head with a baseball bat (Chicago 1968), Have had building scaffoling hit me in the head, had my jaw hinges broken on the operating table while in the Air Force, which made me a disabled VET after 11 years in the service. Can't wear a gas mask ! Sometimes I just want to stay in bed....but I'm afraid of the ceiling fan Cb I wear one everytime I ride even through Arkansas dose not require it.

    I take my helmet, gloves and glasses with me.....the glasses are perscription... the gloves are broken in and the helmet fits just right. I just hate replacing things because of stupid people ! Cb
