  8. saturday on our ride to the irish hills we stoped at a bike shop in cement city they sold h.d. honda and yamaha i saw a real nice ultra classic i think it was an 06 it looked great until i sat on it. being 6'4" tall the first thing i thought of as soon as my ass hit the saddle was wheres the rest of the bike? the next thing i noticed was i had no and i meen no leg room it would have been hard to even hit the rear brake i wiil admit it was a nice bike if i was 5'4" waybe:stirthepot: it's been a while since i rode a harley i guess i forgot how small they were or just realized how large my rsv is:stirthepot:
  9. i rode mine two seasons 1 up and2 up after the oil leaked out, i just replaced it a few weeks ago and yes yamaha covered the shock even though my bike was out of warranty, i replaced it myself and the only thing i noticed differant was the vent tube.
  10. i lost the oil in my shock but it still held air until recently, so today i went to a dealer and checked the price of a new one and was quoted $500.00 for a new one. next i checked with the service manager and had him check my vin# seeing i'm the second owner and i was 3 mos. out of warranty. i then called yamaha warranty and spoke to them i found out that there was NO recall on the shock but they did change venders (upgrade) not admiting that they ever had a problem. but to make a long story short they covered it but they said i had to pay a dealer to change it. thank god my kids know the service manager so i cut a deal with him and i'll remove the old one and drop it off and it will take 2 or 3 days for a replacement. one thing that i believed helped with yamaha is the fact that i let them know that i belong to this club i really think it helped. :cool10:
