i think they aimed at harley and if that is the case it won't have any leg room i checked out a ultra classic last year after riding my rsv and thought wheres the rest of the bike. the picture looks great but if it doesn't fit its not worth a penny to me. so ill wait and try one on for size.

My new ClearView Windshild
big_mike replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I WENT WITH THE XXL TINTED ALSO AND FOR THE MOST PART I LIKE IT MUCH LESS WIND OVERALL MOST NOTICEABLE ON MY ARMS AND SHOULDERS MY PASSANGER WHO IS 6'1" DIDNT NOTICE MUCH DIFFERANCE BUT AGAIN SHE DIDNT RIDE MUCH WITH THE STOCK ONE BEFORE I CHANGED IT. THE ONE ISSUE I HAVE IS ALLOT OF REFLECTION ON THE INSIDE FROM THE DASH AND GAS CAP AND CHROME COVER IVE TIED A DUE RAG TO THE COVER AND CAP AND IT HELPED ALLOT I NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM WITH THE STOCK SHIELD SO IT MUST BE BECAUSE OF THE TINTING I GUESS:Venture: -
Filter on Fuel Breather Tube?
big_mike replied to jryan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
its not a filter its a check valve in case of roll over it will stop fuel from running out of the vent. if it ever sticks it will cause the fuel tank to go into a vacuum from the fuel pump and not deliver fuel to the pump. it happened to me. -
2000 rsv nasty boy mufflers k&n air filters and added aditional one inch holes in air filter housings i dont baby the throttle and get 45 mpg consistantly

Something strange going on with my bike
big_mike replied to ediddy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
first of all the roll over is a check valve in the vent tube to stop fuel from coming out of the vent tube in the case of a roll over to check that when the bike quit take the fuel cap off and see if the fuel tank is under a vacuum it happened to mine after it was knocked over. no longer have that check valve on mine. i don't understand why the seafoam would make it crank or not if the bikes not cranking its not the fuel its electrical. just my two cents. -

don any home heating furnace is only as good as the person that installs it every manufacture make furnaces that 93 to 95% eff and are vented out the side wall of the house in pvc. but if they aren't set up right from the start they aren't worth a hill of beans even on l.p. the first thing you do is make sure you have the right size {bigger is not better} then make sure you have a single stage 93% eff or higher that is adjusted right and set up right then just bite the bullet on the opperating cost because to change to geothermal is a waist of money over a 12 year period that 10,000 can buy a lot of l.p. even without figuring in the interest on the money that you won't get.
