  1. This is for a friend and coworker of mine. I know what a great caring group you are so I am asking if you could please help participate in this. There is no limit to the number of paper airplanes you can send. Perhaps you can get your schools, workplaces, churches, civic organizations etc to participate. Please read this following note, and I thank you for helping! BTW Shawn (the father) rides as well, a vintage Virago I believe... My son Hunter has been diagnosed with a rare form of non hotchkins lymphoma called Burkitts cancer. It only affects about 300 children a year. Usually between the ages of 2 and 11 and its usually boys but can effect girls also. Burkitts is one of the fastest growing tumors that we know of. He went into the hospital on a friday and the tumor was about the size of a tennis ball. By monday it was a little bigger than a cantalope. He was started on cemo and it shut down his kidneys and then his liver started failing. On Wednesday, He told me that he could not see very good and then he quit breathing. He had tubes placed down his throat, nose, arms, and toes. He has swelling of the brain due to high blood pressure. Hunter went into the hospital weighing 40 pounds and now weighs about 70 because of fluid build up. He is now stable and is in the intesive care unit at Buffalo Childrens Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Hunter is only five years old. I would just like everyone to know, that Hunter has been set up with the guiness book of world records to try to recieve the most paper airplanes. Please forward this on to everyone that you know . All you have to do is make a paper airplane and write the state or the country you are from on the wing of your plane and send it to.. 2. My wife is a petite too and LOVES her pink Joe Rocket coat. Here's another vote for New Enough and you can donate a dollar to the site for free when you buy! Great prices and terific service! Click the link on the top of this page if it's up there...
  3. And here I thought I was the only person who actually LIKES Fruit cake...
  4. Same deal as Wizard 765. If they tried to use those "Buttons" they would find them on the side of the road in the spring...
  5. OK here's my selfish 3... Fly a V-22 Osprey Travel Australia on 2 wheels Visit an underwater research center Of course if I only had a few months to live, as is the premise of the movie, I would much rather do as much for others as I possibly could than do things for myself.
  6. We just got home from seeing the movie too!! On my list is to meet as many Ventureriders as possible in person...
  7. I'll check into that, Mr. Frog! I am using Nationwide for car and home and a different one for motorcycle. The motorcycle only costs $90 per year but the 2 cars are running over $800 apiece... I use AAA+RV for roadside assist.
  8. Usually the lack of back pressure in any internal combustion engine leads to burnt/cracked exhaust valve seats. Without any back pressure those hot gasses literally blast out past the valve whereas a little bit of restriction slows the gasses down slightly. Non restricted exhausts allow an engine to breathe slightly better thus increasing performance but at the cost of longevity. This used to be an issue many years ago but with newer metal compounds it is not as significant...
  9. Oh, no! now there will be 3rd Gen bashing as well...
  10. Yup, over $5000 so far with another $1500 for the next one! Bought Mr. Monte with the "factory pricing for everyone" deal in '05 as well as a $2000 rebate (or 0% interest). Ended up with a $30000 car for $21000! Gotta love Generous Motors... Word to the wise. Those credit card offers we get bombed with on a daily basis? Make sure you shred those ofers, not just toss them unopened in the trash. It could lead to identity theft...
  11. My feelings exactly, Jack!! Yes, I was going to offer less, like around $400 if they still have it. For the next 5 years, until I retire, we would only use it a couple of times a year. The positive side being you don't have to tow it with just a motorcycle, do you...
  12. Guess you will have to take up smoking Pot now, Charlie...
  13. Yah! I had Citi cancel one of my cards for lack of use. Fine! Wait until I use my "Thank You" rewards and then I plan on cancelling the rest of my Citi cards as well! I pay my balance in full every month unless it's a new card that's interest free for a year. If a credit card doesn't do something for me, then I don't have it. So far the GM card gives the best reward, with Chase "Freedom" coming in 2nd with 3% back...
  14. Sort of looks like Rocky the flying squirrel, doesn't it...
  15. Admit it, Jeff, it felt pretty good too, didn't it?!!?
  16. Hmmm, found a used one locally for $550... Maybe I'll call and see if they still have it. Shame the money won't be here for a few months yet.
  17. Welcome home, Gary! My prayer is that the healing process, both physically and emotionally, is swift and complete.
  18. The wife agrees, we're gonna spend our free tax money on a Piggy Back! I think we wil enjoy that more than a wide screen TV...
  19. Hey, are either one of those 2 ever going to run again?????
  20. See below...
  21. All 5 at or over $150 each!! Very impressive indeed!
  22. I may be interested in the saddlebags and turn signals. Was interested in the front fender crash guard but too late. I'd say put another 97K on it but if you sell you will get more for it as parts but it takes longer...
  23. If I didn't have to teach Sunday School this morning, we would have spent the whole day in bed watching TV and stuff... Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
  24. I want the "Star Trek" air horns...
